Anything above a Galaxy S2 will be an upgrade from an iPhone 8, will it not?

Ha! Easy!! I’m tempted by a Note10 or 10plus - big cash but!

Maybe we’ll see some reductions in S10/Note10 when the S20 is released?

I'd say so but you'll be waiting a long time before it's selling for new below this price.

Aye, I’ve no expectation that it’ll go anywhere near this. But I figure I could get £300 or so for my 8plus and then add a bit to get a decent Android.

Damn thats a good price! Damn wish it wasn’t from cex
Samsung reduced the price to 499 on their website. £25 off for any crappy mobile and they might throw in some perks upon conversation with the samsung support before purchasing which is worth a try.

Nonetheless, this is a great deal and heat added.

They’ll go down and im waiting to switch from iphone 8 to any samsung/pixels.
under 500 for 5G is pretty decent but i'm always concerned about the blacklisting from someone scamming the network provider or it's a Chinese version etc...

Definitely always a risk, but cex take returns pretty easy

I got a Note 10+ before Xmas and still haven't got round to swapping over from my S9.

It's a big bleedin' phone mind.
Is it sim locked to EE? Is it free to unlock it? Also is it used (grade B) or new without box? Couldn't find that info on their website.

Thanks

It is sim locked to EE. The codes can be bought on eBay pretty cheaply. The phone may or may not come in the box.

Which Pixel are you gonna go for? I don’t know much about them. Also had a look at the OnePlus 7 - looks a decent phone!

Pixel 4XL . Do not buy 4 because the battery sucks.
I wish these pixels come with better hardware but the software is spotless and very clean.
One plus is better hardware than pixel.

My order of preference is
One Plus
Samsung
Pixel.

If google improves the hardware this year(hopefully), then it will be on the top.

If it helps, security wise the best android smart phones are -

Blackberry Key 2 - the phone for security.
Pixel
Samsung

Yeah very big improvement over an iPhone 8 and especially in the camera and video.
I'm also waiting on the s20 getting released so s10 plus will price drop.
This is a fantastic phone and the first actual android phone I don't have any issues with. I've always gone back and forth between apple and android but I'm staying with this s10e. It's great screen. Superb speakers. Great camera. Water resistant and dust resistant and the hole punch isn't that bad at all compared to a notch. But I will say battery isn't excellent on UK exynos versions. About 3/4 hours screen time. Nowt us Brits can do unless buy from abroad ha.
Didn’t realise these had dropped so much in price. S10 is a good all round phone and likely the last Samsung to support 3.5mm natively too.

Yeah, massive price drops, this time next year we'll be able to get an 108mp Samsung s20 for this price

I heard Samsung have dropped their own CPU division in another region so we might actually get SD865 if lucky (probably not though).

Still using an S9, got a Note 9 that I still haven’t switched to yet (just finished applying one of those UV bonded glass protectors, so much better than the plastic ones) and have an Xperia 5 in the box too...

what you like.

I sent the note 10 plus back, couldn't justify the cost - £570

Again using th mate 20 x, but just bought a mix 2s, using an oppo reno 5G as well, and on the hunt for a cheap big screen, gonna be between the max 3, and Huawei Y MAX, leaning toward the latter.

I can’t justify the cost of the Note 10 and know I’ll find the lack of 3.5mm infuriating when I need it. Note 9 is good value now at around £300. Not going to chase the latest phones any more - I don’t even care for small bezels, really hard to protect, I don’t need tons of cameras either.

I'm using that mix 2s (albeit sporadically) and it's a breath of fresh air, still smooth as the day it was manufactured, and so comfortably sits in the hand.

Why are you after a cheap phone with a large screen? Just curious..

Where are you getting it from? I have the 5 and it's really tall but still quite big, so the 1 will be massive. The lack of a headphone jack for a good media device is such a disappointment though. Also, the dynamic vibration system is terrible

I ordered it from O2 (like new) for £199. I stopped using wired headphones years ago so won't be an issue for me
And I also had the 5 before and turned off the dynamic vibration as well as side sense. Great phone but looking forward to the bigger phone ha!
