This is going to get hot!
Why is this not scorching? Circa £50 for a 7" branded tablet! Granted it's not the best tablet and it comes with minor marks etc but as a net surfer item or for kids this is ideal!
I use mine daily. Great for browsing, perfect as a media player.

These were around £500 when they first came out and it shows in the build quality.
Useful as a car GPS music system for that price..

You might want to peak in less than 10 mins but some deals take time..
good deal, great screen and very usable despite what some may say
This is good deal if you are planning to buy a used 7" tablet !!!
But I would personally prefer to buy a refurbished Nexus or Galaxy tablet for around 80-90 £
old tech? yes its 64gb, decent for web browsing but 3months warranty?

I rather go for nexus 7 that comes with 12 months warranty, for any extra £40-50 and has Play store that wipes the floor with BlackBerry app store

Does Google Navigation work on this? Bit big to have a 7" tablet on your windscreen....

I would be put off as they are Grade C. That's never worked for me

Can I ask what app you use for satnav on this? Anyone found a good one? Which one is the best?

Grade C? No thanks.
Playbook app store is total crap I had one of these last year and couldn't even download Skype in fact most popular apps are not available.
As previously mentioned an old Nexus 7 wipes the floor with this but I must say the Playbook speakers were good but that's all.
If the playbook had been updated to BB10 it would have turned into an awesome tablet... instead it stood still and apart from build quality just looks like something out of the ark now. I love my BB Z10 phone but never found a single use for the playbook. Unless you just want the real basics - internet browsing and sending emails, i'd recommend spending just a little bit more on something else that you can make more use of
As a kids tablet or backup this is a cracking deal. lasted about 3 days with mine, wasn't a cheap nexus or iPad replacement.
For this money for watching movies on holiday and not have to worry about it costing a fortune its a no brainer.

ipad/ nexus killer
I remember when blackberry playbooks were super popular on here..! Nexus 7 2012 would probably be superior to this in many ways, but 'for an extra 40-50' is basically double the playbooks price... So it depends what you're thinking of using it for!
Very bad seller. If you read the t's&c's, it says that you have to pay return postage after 14 days if there is a fault with the tablet. That would add up very quickly and as far as I know is not legal!

3 months warranty.....there's confidence in action. (_;)
This version might be a bit risky, but bought one from SVP last year I wanted it for watching videos on the train and for the money great.

I'm a memory hog so the 64Gb was great for me and have had no problems with it. Yes apps etc are very limited, but have a few games and browser so covers all I wanted it to do.
Wouldn't recommend this tablet, luckily I managed to sell mines for £47 4/5 months ago.

The App market is literally empty, apart from browsing and going on Youtube there is nothing you could do with this dead horse. Not releasing BB10 killed it otherwise I thought it was a fairly decent tablet.

Spend a little more and you could get a 7inch Nexus 7 refurb online.
the blackberry store is terrible, but personally i prefer the playbook to my samsung galaxy 3. i only use either for recreational purposes, but if you look hard enough, i've got a few decent games on mine, snes, n64, nes, mega drive emulators, a decent book reader with hundreds of books, plex media player (which means i can stream anything off my hard drive at home to my tablet providing i have internet connection), and has a good size hard drive so i can put films on for long flights etc. quite a lot of android apps can be side loaded and work well, so, if you are willing to do a bit of research, and put the effort in, these tablets are superb value for money.
also, there is a sat nav app called magellan compass, i have it, but have never used it so can't really comment whether its any good.

Blackberry Playbook has no Android so no free apps.
Useless rubbish. Would not pay more than £10 for it.

I'd be interested what is the res of your cms's screen?
I love my playbook. Use it for watching films and not much else. It's great for that, battery lasts forever and I have dropped it so many times without a scratch. Really can't go wrong if that's what you want from it.
I got one of these new a couple of years ago for £120ish. Brilliant in its day but left behind by even some of the cheapo £70 unbranded tabs. Fact its heavily used/soiled i cant figure out what the attraction is. Web browsing is horrible, sites like ebay and betfair near unusable. Ok for films as sound is excellent, even if screen is no where near as good as last years nexus. The os though is great, shame blackberry were greedy little liars and now reaping what they sowed
nobody mentioned how great the camera is in good light and very good front facing stereo speakers.
these have better cameras then i pads

I have an iPad Mini and a few Android Tabs and I prefer the Playbook. I use it WAY more. Everyday in fabt. I just wish I had got the version that takes a SIM Card.

The front facing speakers mean watching films etc is a pleasure on one of these compared to anything else out there. I have yet to find a format it doesnt play too. I bought an app fro about £2 which connects to my NAS and copies back films/music etc I literallt have found my "Tablet Nirvana".
I would definitely recommend getting the dock charger (about £7) as the USB port is flimsy and breaks within a month. The dock charger uses different contacts to charge it. I have mine next to my bed as an alarm clock and watch a bit of TV (TVcatchup/iPlayer etc) if I cant sleep. The kids go and get it when they want to watch a film. Battery life is better then my iPad mini which is by no means rubbish anyway.

That's my set up as well! The dock charger is a nice bit of kit in itself.

I charged mine for well over a year with the usb with no problems but I know people do tend to break them.

Battery life is fantastic!

i also have one - but dont make the mistake of thinking android sideloading means you can get every android app on these units. The android runtime code on these is very old now so these are limits to what can be sideloaded.
Skype for instance - no chance.
Just saying.......

Camera is awful.... ok for videos but stills look really bad, no where near as good as my ancient nokia n95 even.
Agree with speakers, much better than the wifes nexus 7 v2 and i reckon at least as good as those on my surface pro.
Has nobody worked out how to put android of these things, is the CPU unsupported or something?
