Please note, this is for the SIGNATURE EDITION (to prevent cold votes based purely because it is more expensive than £40)

RRP £150 and a good deal considering the game isn't out yet. If you are not after the signature edition, this price probably wont change your mind but if you have pre-ordered elsewhere this might be worth a punt.

Just a reminder, please vote relative to the RRP, not whether you personally think it is a good deal on its own merit. That is subjective. Votes should be objective

This seems to crop up all the time and a vote should NOT just be related to savings from RRP. Just because this is £20 off the RRP doesn't make it a good deal for what you get in the package.

What? I will vote how I like you impertinent fool.

Guess they need the money after how long this has taken to be released lol

so they knock 20 quid off???

How can this be classed as a good deal?

It's shocking that anyone would even consider paying this much for a few pointless extras.

X)

what a pile of junk!

This will be £17.99 in a couple of months.

Includes:

* Special Signature Edition contoured metal case in metallic black
* Exclusive branded SLS AMG 1:43 model car.
* Gran Turismo Leather wallet including entry method into Signature Edition in-game competition to win Mercedes vehicle.
* Branded USB key (containing MB trailers and GT/GT Academy trailers)
* Exclusive Polyphony designed dynamic theme
* 5 x collector's edition cars with performance enhancements and exclusive livery + 6 x pre-order vehicles.
* GT branded key fob
* Signature Edition coffee table book
* Drivers/strategy guide

No way is that worth a £80 premium. The 1:43 model might worth £25 on its own, but the rest is mostly just junk!

People like you completely defeat the object of this site. The definition of a hot deal is relative to both the RRP and the prices being offered by any competitors - NOT YOUR OPINION ON WHETHER YOU WOULD PAY SAID PRICE ON THIS ITEM. People like you, in my opinion, should be black listed from this site as you evidently do not understand it.

There could be a porsche advertsied on here for £20,000 and I could say 'I would never pay that much for a car' and vote cold. But any intelligent people would see this as a £40,000 saving on a brand new high performance car and vote it hot.

In short, you are exactly the reason good deals like this often go unnoticed because fools like you vote cold just because you dont agree with the product. I would say more but risk being reprimanded myself. I will leave it to your imagination as to what I really want to tell you.

Same price at game.co.uk. I've had this version on order since it was announced at £149.99. £20 off is a saving, if you don't want to spend this much money on a special edition then don't, it doesn't mean £20 off isn't a good deal.

+1

Shocking how this site has changed since i joined.

same price at game http://www.game.co.uk/Games/PlayStation-3/Racing-Car/Gran-Turismo-5-Signature-Edition/~r350854/

hardly a amazing deal

and gamestation

Whether something is a good deal or not is actually quite subjective: most purchasing decisions are. However, aggregating the votes of lots of people should give an idea of whether something is "truly" a good deal or not. If we all just vote in relation to RRP, then what's the point? We could have one person just say what the RRP is and what this price is and that would be the end of the conversation. Rather pointless and something that can easily be done by a computer, and indeed is done by computers at Google and PriceRunner and Kelkoo. This site is different though. I come here for the human factor: a mechanical "if less than RRP then hot else cold" algorithm is ridiculously simplistic and entirely pointless. If we obeyed your imaginary voting rules, then any product that was less than RRP would reach maximum hotness and we would just be wading through incredibly hot deal after incredibly hot deal with no way of distinguishing between them. Use your brains and think it through and you should realise that the result of your imaginary rules would be a complete break-down of the site.

Now if you people want to vote purely based on RRP, then do so. But please refrain from "reminding" us sensible people of non-existent rules or whining when your deal gets voted cold because £130 is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for what constitutes a load of old toot and a £35 video game.

Your supposed to vote on whether or not you think the product in question is a "hot deal", and not just on how much your saving on the RRP. This is certainly not a hot deal, even if you are saving £20 on the RRP.

I posted the Game price earlier, as they were the first to drop their price, obviously Gameplay & Gamestation have followed suit.

This place is starting to p!ss me off as it's becoming a joke, people seem to think if they wouldn't buy it, or spend that much, it's a cold deal. *sigh*

I am buying one (die hard fan) when the price comes down to like 19.99 or something in that range

you class yourself as a die hard fan yet you'll happily wait months and months for it to come down to 19.99, hardly the actions of a "die hard fan"

I agree with the other guy, you guys are completely ruining the site. I've seen £2,000 watches get voted hot but this (which lets be fair just isn't for you if you only want the game) is on -300? I partly agree with you and the other guy and think it should be a balance between savings and whether the product is good but if your not even ever going to want this kind of thing do not vote. It's like me voting on guitars, whats the point if I never play one so think anything above £50 is a rip off? There's a difference between whether the product is worth the money and whether you are interested. This particular product I can agree with but I even see that kinect games deal (at argos for £26 or so) being voted cold just because there's lots of idiots that don't like kinect. Well god almighty realise you shouldn't vote then as its a great price for new games and even if your not interested it doesn't mean your opinion matters on the subject.
Like I said there should be a balance but at the moment we've got a wave of idiots voting on whether they personally like it and that alone. Seriously guys we're here to post deals and sometimes we need to be objective and sometimes subjective and the truth is whether you like the product or not sometimes you just give it the nod of approval because its a fair price for people that want it and not based on someone with a playstation not ever feeling the need to vote hot an xbox deal or whatever.

The deal is cold because it's the same price everywhere else. Not because nobody wants to buy a **** overpriced collectors' edition.

This will drop in price because very few people are going to buy it.

My comment was more aimed about other deals too like the kinect games, they are likely to be bought and weren't over priced. This deal fair enough since its matched but then I'd say luke warm or neutral since even though its matched its still as cheap as can be got so far. Like I said its more about other deals though where people choose to vote them cold even when its not a bad deal.

But with that example most people know a new Porsche is well worth £60,000 for what you get, this collectors edition is not worth £130 for what you get. It's simple enough.

Well there's a few people debating and only 1 person posted it so that blasts wholes in that theory. And telling people to get a life over a very small debate? Sounds like you either don't have the capability of prolonged communication or you have the IQ necessary (about 40) to be the kind of person that just can't stand others voicing there opinions if it is different to yours.
It's simple, this vote was used to discuss a problem others perceive on the site so if you don't want to debate don't just sit on the side lines insulting people like a child / passing off remarks. However for those of us that do then we'll do what we do. I now agree why this one was voted cold (since it can be had for the same price elsewhere) but my points do stand for those other deals people choose to vote cold just because they don't like them.

Go find a ladder so you can climb off your high horse.

My statement stands. Certain people seem to get very precious over their deals. If that's all they have to worry about in life, then fine, they're very lucky people.
