Great find, thanks OP.

Is this version worth getting, or is there a better one out there that's better value?

Gran Turismo Sport - Spec II releases on the same day. Nothing much to sing and dance about, unless the pricing is competive.

This is a special version including two bonus content that will jump start your game.

Bonus Content 1 - 2,500,000 Credits (in-game currency) Unlocks bonus currency that can be used in-game.

Bonus Content 2 - Top 10 Car Pack (10 cars) This is a Gr.3 Car Pack including Gr.3 vehicles from the top 10 manufacturers of the 'FIA GT Championships 2018 Series’.
I have this lying around somewhere but I never started it because I heard it was a bit pants. But I've also heard they patched it with better content. Can anyone confirm?

Yep, there's better content now but no "real" career it's more of random races, no real upgrading like in previous games, but to be honest the game has the best handling in the series
So the best way to learn it is "to get out there"?

Depends on your definition of better. Sure, they patched in a whole bunch of offline 'events' but it's a misnomer to call them races. They're the same "start at the back, pass a load of slow moving roadblocks as you try to catch the lead car before the event is over" events that were in GT6, with the same dumb, rubberband AI that slows down if you're behind and speeds up once you're ahead, suspiciously so.

How they get away with that in a PS4 game I don't know.
^^Yeap, i don't even bother touching this now seeing as i no longer have PSPlus, hard to believe this is what is classed as a GT game these days, online esports garbage to push people into a PSPlus sub with the very thing that made the franchise a worldwind success gone, a single player campaign......thank god for Driveclub and Driveclub VR.
I used to love GT games but every single one since GT2 has been a let down. I've got this and I got as far as installing it on the PS4 but I've never actually played it.
