My son had stolen my original copy of the game so finding this for cheaper and convenience of having it on digital is perfect.

Load times are also super fast now I've upgraded to SSD, makes a massive difference to the game experience.

Only the ps4 pro supports sata 3, slim etc are sata 2 so they won't get the true performance from an ssd, will be a little better but good to bear in mind

Quality cheers for the heads up
Is this a good starter racing game for the family aged 9+?
If not, what would you recommend folks?

It's a bit serious for kids, but maybe they'd get into it. Maybe something arcadey like Burnout or Wreckfest? Crash Team Racing.

Thanks, CTR seems to be the one, 4 player mode and I can come in 4th regularly and be that annoying 'racer'
Now I need to find me a deal for that game...

Exactly this. I didn't go for an EVO drive as it would be a waste. Went for a 1TB Crucial mx550 in the end

They gift you 10 cars and 2.5 million credits but otherwise the same. Just a "boost" really.

Sounds a good plan. My children enjoy it, though it takes a while to get good!

My four your old absolutely loves it. You can put the assists on quite heavily and change to motion steering. He tried dirt rally and F1 (too hard) but couldn't get into them. Just races on the oval mostly but he'd be in it all day if we let him.
Good price for "Spec 2". I bought the base game last month and already have around 8 million credits and boat load of cars from the daily mileage gift car, completing the missions challenges and circuit experiences.

If you've got PSVR, the VR content is pretty lacking - 1v1 CPU races, Time Trials but doesn't mean it's fun; Love blasting the Amuse S2000 on the Nurburgring.
Turned off all assists (expert mode).
Working my way through the "Sunday Cup", brings back memories.

Yet to try online
Drive 26 miles a day and you get a free car.
