Class film

I think this a famous hotel in Budapest. I have been to Budapest. Cant remember seeing it but it was just a 3 night break. I liked the Buda side and I liked the Pest side. I went up in a electric carraige thing to a castle. Feels like yesterday...

Got this for Christmas and watched it today. Enjoyed it.

this is a really funny film highly recommended.

There's nothing quite like a Wes Anderson film. One of my absolute favourites of this year.

It's not a real hotel. And it's set in a fictional country in a fictional depiction of Europe. Watch it though, incredible movie.

Cheers op,brilliant film good price!

The name of the fictional Republic of Zubrowka comes from the Polish vodka Zubrówka. It's the brand of rye vodka, seasoned with bison grass and renowned in Europe.

In an interview with NPR, Anderson said about finding filming locations, "We found this department store in this town called Gorlitz, which is in Saxony. Half of Gorlitz is in Germany, the other half is in Poland. It's on the border. And it's about 20 minutes from Czech Republic. So, in a way, it's really right where our story would be, if there was such a place as the one in our story. And this department store that we found, we made into our hotel, the big entrance hall of our hotel, and then we found everything else for the movie within a certain kind of radius of that department store."

Excellent movie, possibly the best of the year?

I bought this for my mum and both my parents watched it and really didn't like it. They said they were 'waiting for something to happen' the whole movie. They did like Little Miss Sunshine so it's not like they're incapable of liking niche films. I guess it's just not for everyone. Now it's been given back to me and I get to watch it

It's on sky movies next week

Probably his best film and also one of the best of the year. Much better on bluray if you have a choice....

Generally not a fan of Wes Anderson's movies, but this is certainly in my top 5 movies of 2014

Love Wes Anderson and love this film. Also this price in Sainsburys at the min =)
