Grand Kingdom - Limited Edition (PS4) Amazon Lightning Deal - £51.99

From £64.99. Cheapest you will find it. Not huge savings but a reasonable discount on a collector's edition of niche title (which is not only niche, but also highly rated, complex, and has a gorgeous art style). Around the 65 mark everywhere else.

I'm a huge nerd about strategy RPGs so thought I'd post it in case anyone is tempted.

Not sure about this game, its on sale for 15.99 on PSN right now, but I think saying its highly rated is grasping a bit, its not exactly an essential purchase as far as most reviews are concerned. Does look interesting though I have to say.

That's fine, this is for people who want the physical collector's edition, not a digital copy. Judging by the ridiculous prices for these things down the line, they retain and often increase in value if you're looking at it that way.

Also re: the game, it's really fun and has received favourable reviews (4/5 Metacritic). It draws inspiration from lots of classic, little known gems like Vandal Hearts some people have a soft spot for. Like I said anyway, its niche.

Voted hot mate, but as a collector I want to let you know most collector's stuff actually lose their value instead of gaining any values in the future. If you are investing for that reason, then you are better off to revise.

Yeah I wasnt meaning to dismiss this as being a bad deal, I realise there is a strong market for these editions. I was interested in this so I read up on it and wasnt massively sold, maybe I will check a few more reviews/impressions, as Vandal Hearts on PS1 was a cool game I enjoyed a lot!

Thanks mate - I appreciate this is true for many games, but it really isn't the case for RPGs. Browsing eBay will show you that (I can't even get a copy of Bravely Default for reasonable money, let alone the collector's edition). Besides, I actually play these games ^^

I agree, this has future value written all over it, especially in a decade or so when the ps4 servers are gone and the only way to get it is this rare physical copy.

It's too expensive for me for a niche that I like the look of, but likely wouldn't play though

It's a fantastic game, I got the collectors vita edition on a Amazon Lightning deal a few months back, honestly it's really not worth the limited edition stuff it's a small book and then paper and a cd, though wouldn't want to put people off the actual game it's fantastic

Particularly with editions that don't actually seem that limited, like this one, it's everywhere, limited editions like the Superbeat Xonic Xotic edition and the soon to be released Atelier Shallie plus are truly limited and will increase in value over time

I saw Vandal Hearts and I got all excited, It doesn't look to similar to that tbh.

Its hard to justify paying £36 for all the tat when the digital version is only £15.99.

I know collectors.....but I'm not sure on this one. Its been on sale since last March and still readily available.
I believe there is also a substantial online portion of this game as well which wont be around forever.
Compare this to the recent Fire Emblem 3DS box set which sold out immediately...

Buy it to play and enjoy but I wouldn't anticipate any future gains!
(not voting either way)
