Don’t think I’ve ever seen this on offer before. 15% off the RRP is a significant saving. Yes, it’s not a Rolex or Omega but it’s just as good if not better it some respects. Bargain in my opinion!

If it was me spending £4500 I would buy a secondhand Omega or Tag or even Rolex which will only hold its value and possibly even increase over time.

A Tag will hold its value?
Surely it’s Boxing Day not April 1st?

Tag Heuer??????????? You were doing fine til' you mentioned Tag. The luxury watch equivalent of a white BMW X5 with blacked out windows.
If I wasn't on minimum wage, didny have to buy food or pay my rent I'd be all over this..

If you look at the claims for the accuracy of these watches they are way beyond what other makes can offer in terms of accuracy. Voted hot.

I’ll stick to Jura Watches who are an official authorised Grand Seiko dealer.

Got 6 for eBay!
This watch has one of the best looking dials I have seen. Personally I would buy a quartz GS because of Seiko's history with Quartz watches.

Fair enough, thought watches of Mayfair were pretty good, seen mostly positive reviews and comments on chrono24 been discussed on various watch forums.

Hehe... you are joking right? These watches are not even close to GS in terms of quality. Tag or Omega never hold their value.

If you read what I said that is why I said secondhand Omegas or Tags. When I say Tags I perhaps should have said limited run models. I had an Indy 500 Tag I bought in 2005 and sold in 2016 for more than original purchase price.
If I could afford this, I would rather buy a IWC.
Good deal, an iconic GS at a decent discount.

To be fair, that’s up for interpretation. Spring Drive movements are regulated by quartz. So it’s more accurate than purely mechanical watches, but less accurate than battery powered quartz watches. Somewhere in the middle.

These sorts of comments make me laugh, and not just because of the Tag comment...

You've mentioned nothing but the value retention. The resale value does not indicate how GOOD a watch is. It indicates the marketing ability of said company.

You're essentially recommending buying an inferior product, because _if_ you ever decide to sell it, you'll be able to claw back more money. If you're worried about the resale value of a watch, you probably shouldn't be buying it.

I own a Rolex, Omega and GS. The GS runs rings around the others, plus 'those that know... know'

I'd tend to disagree I have a spring drive watch speced at +-1 per day and it's gained 0.5 seconds since the clocks changed nearly 2 months ago. Time was set using an atomic clock.

Well, yeah, it does tell the time better actually. My GS is -/+ 10secs a year, whereas my rolex is -4/+6 seconds a day.
Then the GS is hand finished, hand polished and they only make around 30,000 watches per year.
Rolex are factory finished and polished and make approx 1million per year.

I mean, I'd be interested to hear your opinion on why it isnt?

My Deepsea is far better looking watch and just as accurate as my Grand Seiko. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s hand finished and polished, if that’s important to you then great but that’s personal choice. To say it ‘blows them out of the water’ is just silly. Im not doubting they are quality as they are great but you’re exaggerating quite majorly, they are equally good timepieces. Maybe there’s a reason why Rolex are selling far more watches than grand seiko though....supply and demand

The seller is in Delaware.
.co.uk means nothing..
While I appreciate the engineering behind this piece, I really hate how they decided to implement the power reserve.
