looks a good price.

Great price. Game is looking to be a cracker.

whens it out, need to downlaod it. Once ive owned my original

Most places are just under £24 for this so thats an excellent saving, just pre ordered 1 there, thanks

Had a look at the pre order ds games and alot of them are set at £17.99 which is strange for new games but especially for this one.

Excellent price but wonder just how long they will keep it at £17.99.

i can guarantee this game will be a let down. It just won't be GTA.

I am soooooooooooooooooo looking forward to this game!!!!

Thanks for posting this, heated added!! xxx

DS doesn't have the power for this sort of thing unless you have to kill each other by using noodles as your primary weapon.

Friends of mine have played it and assure me it's a fantastic game.

Ok..so it will not be GTA IV but for a handheld game it will keep me amused.

Great price and heat and rep added :-D

Awesome price. Why can't it be a good GTA? The first 2 on PC were topdown games and they were great fun!

looks poor

Play are treating us with DS preorders lately! Was thinking about getting this for my birthday (comes out the day before) but would ideally want to try it first....Decisions, decisions...

Excellent price. This will probably be the biggest DS game of the year, so seem's like there might be a bit of a price war

Only thing with ordering DS games from Play.com is that they rarely send them in time for release. When I pre-order Wii games with them, I always get them a day before release, but with DS game, I sometimes get them Thursday or Friday or Tuesday or Wednesday, which can be annoying if it's something you're really looking forward to play. Hopefully this won't be the case with this title.

I preordered Chrono Trigger from play.com when it was cheap (17 quid I think) and it arrived a couple of days after release.

CT was £15 for me when I preordered it, was dispatched on the day of release (a Friday) and arrived on the Wednesday. I wasn't in a rush so no big deal, but I guess if someone really wanted it asap play may not be the best place to preorder.

Are you saying not as good fun as the PS1 version, or you dont remember the top down originals?

I tell a lie - mine was £15 too.

Sounds pretty good from the review on IGN: ds.ign.com/art…tml

"What's impressive to me, is the fact that this is a true Grand Theft Auto experience on the DS. The game's going with a Mature rating, there's a day/night cycle and weather conditions, there are radio stations, there's a deep story told through graphic novel-like scenes, and the world is actually 3D. If you're just looking at screenshots of this game, I'm sure Chinatown Wars looks like a 2D adventure. In reality, the camera can swing 360 degrees and little things such as signs on buildings are modeled in 3D. There's GPS for the cars just like in Grand Theft Auto IV, there are motorcycles, and the safe houses and Pay 'n' Sprays are around just like you'd expect.

Also impressive is the fact that this game controls just like its console brethren -- the same layout of face buttons is used for stealing cars, accelerating, and breaking. "

heres a trailer which contains a little bit of in game footage.

it looks really good for a ds game, so **** all haters.

For this price, this is going to be my first ever purchase on the DS. Otherwise my games are you-know-what uh-hm uh-hm :whistling:

House Of The Dead Overkill, MadWorld and now this! Who said Nintendo don't like the idea of violence!!!

The PS1 versions were enjoyable for me, never could get into the 3D versions from PS2 days onwards. They were good, but they never got me coming back for more. This DS version is reminding me of the PS1 games, that's why this will be a great game in my opinion. The way Gamespot and IGN have talked about their early plays it going to be a 8/10 or above.
