good price thanks

Its great running at 60fps on PC, looks great on Mid Range to Powerful PC's.

good price, been waiting for it

So tempted... What's the bet the second I buy it, price will drop to £15 in some random flash sale!

Cheapest I have seen for months- heat. Be aware though- the online experience is full of hackers (my personal experience that is.) But lots of heist action and jobs to keep you busy.

been waiting for this to go down, I'm selling my ps3 version

Not voted either way, but this seems quite pricey for a two-year-old game. Aren't they usually cheaper than this by now?

Is there a code for fb likes doing the rounds? Won't work when I try and like the page.

I have this game on pc. The game uses Rockstar Social Club (RSC = rockstar's steam).

There are two versions of this game. The Steam version and the RSC version. They are both compatible with each other. On steam, once you run it you will be sent to RSC, just like the ubisoft games on steam send you to UPlay.

Steam is only for distribution.

Would you feel that way if they'd renamed it 'Grand Theft Auto V HD' or 'Grand Theft Auto V: Definitive Edition'? Because Rockstar didn't just make the game, release it for 360 and PS3 and then sit on it for 18 months before releasing it on PC. There's an additional 18 months worth of work that's gone into this, making it technically a different game. You can pick up the 2013 360/PS3 release for around £12-15 but the 2014 XB1/PS4 release is still around £40, even pre-owned, so £25 for the 2015 PC release is pretty good.

Game's bloody gorgeous on PC, well worth £24.99 of anybody's money.

But just to be clear - this is a Rockstar Social Club key (as shown by the logo on the CD Keys website). So, rather than adding it to your Steam library, you'll be adding it directly to your Social Club account (either through the website or client). Yes, the game requires Social Club either way, so this is just a technicality. If you like using Steam for the social or technical aspects (friends list, screenshots, home streaming, etc.) you can add the game to Steam as a non-Steam game and still be able to use pretty much all of those features.

still waiting for the £20 mark but hot hot hot

So it's not possible to run it offline? I'm away soon, and will only have mobile broadband.

Good price, especially as it's £40 on the Steam store.. Unfortunately I just bagged a cheap Xbox 360 version as I couldn't justify blowing £40..balls! Heated anyways..

Thanks Tom. Good find. I've been waiting for this to drop in price

It runs fine offline, obviously GTA Online doesn't work offline, but the single player works fine :).

Yeh i believe it is very well optimized. I'm on a mid range system so I should be able to run it on Mid/1080p at 60FPS. I was worried when I bought Dying Light but again that is very well optimized and looks great on mid at 60fps.

I have GTA IV and performance is terrible, apparently it's not a very well optimized game, or a bad port etc. There's loads of threads on possible solutions as it's a common fault. Years ago when I was more patient I'd have tried to iron out the faults, but naaa.

Please tell me that GTA V is more stable or better optimized this time round, can you just install and play without having to read endless threads and solutions. I'm guessing it is better setup for newer video cards etc. Think I'll buy this

Edit :

To answer my own question Even an entry level gaming card/pc setup can out performs the consoles, I have an MSI R9 280 . So they've done a great job with GTA V. Buying now

1. It's a 3 month old game on PC.
2. Look at the price of GTA V for XBOX1 and PS4. Good luck finding the same price.

Absolutely spot on there. He probably think PC's are old since there is no "PC 2". Ah, these people really have bought into the marketing of things.

It makes no difference whether a pc is more powerful than the gaming console even with entry level components it's the fact that the game has to be optimised for the hardware. So you can't compare.

I wouldn't consider it a very well optimized. it's good enough. And MUCH better then GTA IV. But there is problems with it still. There is random times the FPS drops below 60, even on very high end hardware. Mostly when driving, and in certain areas.
I can turn my texture quality from very high to normal, and get exactly the same FPS/FPS drops. Same with alot of settings.

Basically, i don't think it's optimized for anything more then 60FPS. So when your FPS drops, it's might drop to as low as 40, regardless if you're on a mid range card to a very high end card. This is just my opinion though, based on playing the game for 100s of hours, asking friends, and watching video benchmarks on the game.

Bought this game on the PS3 and PS4 so i'll wait till it's at least £15
Gotta happen around christmas

Any mods you guys recommend straight away? There's so many I'm sure, I'm away for a look

Just had a look around and there still isn't OpenV (that's worth using), you have a trainer but no point with no LCPDFR (GTAV Version at least), seen another version, but until it's all fully supported and you can replace vehicles etc etc I will be waiting.

To answer some questions about performance, it appears it is a well optimised port and can look very pretty on mid range and very very pretty on High end PCs...
