They can shove it, how long after it was released the first time round!

Hate to be a killjoy, but where is that code from, it's different to the one on their homepage and it's not working on GTA V.

Btw these codes are specific to each customer, am tempted by mine though

So obviously account specific then as this one doesn't work for me? So to get the deal you need the email and if you have the email you already know about the code which is specific to your account and is absolutely no use to no one?

That's pretty much spot on X) I suppose this could serve as a reminder to GMG members who don't check their emails. Not sure if they'd still give out a code to new members

afraid to say i feel the same way. already waited an extra year to play this game, not bothered at all to wait 1 more and pick this up for buttons on a steam sale.

Isn't it cheaper to get a steam code on CD-keys CD-Keys Grand Thief Auto 5 PC Steam Key with 5% discount code? £29.99*0.95 = £28.50

The GMG deal has the same $1.2 million bonus offer as the CDKeys deal, but the GMG one has another $300,000 on top of that. So essentially, 70p for $300,000 in game currency

I don't think those will actually be steam codes, despite what it says. The only way to get this game on steam will be to actually buy it on steam. The possible exception to that rule might be Amazon but that's a special case.

I want this game...but as it has been going on for so long I will wait for a real bargain.

Unless the release date goes backwards next week the code is pretty useless?

so what's the difference between this key and steam key?

Rather buy from GMG than CDKeys.

I'm not paying full price for this game, it's too long delayed and they made the wait so long now another 6 months for the price to come down won't bother me at this stage.

I also played it on PS3 18 months ago. Saying that though it will be far and away the best version. It utterly blows even PS4 out of the water on a good machine. I'll get it cheap and keep the PC version for posterity.

It might well look better but it's not £30 worth of better. And you probably need a Cray Supercomputer to run it at full settings considering just how dire the coding was for GTA IV on PC when trying to run it on a 32bit Windows 7. I'm not installing 64bit it would knock far too many older games out that just can't function on 64bit. I'm suggesting sloppy coding because Just Cause 2 was out around the same time, has an immense amount of detail, and I maxed out all the settings on that and it runs smooth as silk. GTA IV I turned down half the settings and it still chugged like I was on a Pentium IV and a GeForce 6 card.

You do realise that Windows 7 x86 will only address 3gb of ram though right? And 3gb won't get your particularly far on a gaming PC these days.

I'm curious; what games do you have that won't run on a 64bit architecture?

Yeh very bad marketing. In their attempts to avoid pirates by making PC players wait 6 months, so they could milk the console players of their hard-earned money first, and then finally sell it for 40 quid to PC players, they've made a big loss than profit.

GTA5 isn't GTA4. Assuming the performance is the same because of that game well over 5 years ago is pretty desperate.

I would actually bet that GTA5 will run rather well, because Rockstar know there will be extra scrutiny to deliver something polished after all this time.

In the end though after a few patches GTA4 ran fine, most people just vastly overestimated their PC's performance on it. The equivalent settings on the consoles were incredibly low, it was actually a piece of cake to run it looking much better than PS3/360, even if it was much harder to 'max.

Saying that you refuse to go to a 64 bit OS in 2015 also illustrates how out of touch you really are with modern PC gaming if I'm honest. It's stupidly easy to dual boot, and it's not like disk space is at a premium these days is it?!

I borrowed and played it to completion on the 360. I'll pick it up for the PC when the price goes down substantially. Well done rockstar, I would have bought this for full price on the PC if you hadn't taken the Michael with the release date.

You make interesting points - however it's simply the case that I can't be arsed with the faff of dual-booting - never have been and never will be. I just like games to run - besides, my PC is on just about 24/7 - I'm not one to shut down and turn off at the end of each day. And as you probably know the number of games really requiring 64bit is miniscule compared to the number that don't. In 2015.

Not buying at this price and would wait till it hits the £5 mark. Have waited far too long and now don't have the time and the hype is dead. Plus Watch Dogs has been great in the interim.

Graham1979

It depends. I've never played this game, I've been waiting for it to release on PC so it's completely new to me. I pre-ordered mine for about £28.

Let's hope that they've 'polished' it enough and that it runs properly.

The game isn't very good any ways, the story goes to **** once the annoying FBI plot takes hold. On top of that you die too fast so you cannot mess around, cars randomly explode now and give you no sign when they'll do it, so you cannot smash them up or throw them off big heights. The online was ****, the heists were all ****, they made a big deal out of planning them but really that was all crap and scripted. The car damaged was toned down from GTA IV and the car damaged was even turned down from the PS3/360 version of GTA V so it doesn't clip into the First Person camera........

The game is ****, I could go on and on..

Wait can't you run 32bit applications on 64bit os anyway?

Why did you bother with heists? Comments like this confuse me. I loved GTA, but I haven't even gotten around to trying them out. So I'm slightly confounded why someone who dislikes the game so much wanted to play it more than me?!

Is that 300k online of offline?

I read somewhere that it will do system checks to see if you're running a pirated copy of windows and won't work if you are! Can anybody elaborate that knows more?

Thanks

How this work on Windows 8.1. I bought GTA4 and it kept crashing, so I gave up on it.
