GTA 5 & another item (pre-owned blu-ray) for £30.90 using the £10 off £40 spend on Rakuten.co.uk (FEBGIFT10).

Not exactly the best pre-owned blu-rays available, but at least it makes it possible to use the code.

rakuten.co.uk/sho…s=2

7.35% TCB for the next 2 days potentially making it £28.62, or 3.5% Quidco for next 3 days potentially making it £29.81.

Add GTA5 to your basket, then add one of the items from the link above to make your basket total £40.90. Log in to your account then use the code FEBGIFT10 to take £10 off your basket total giving you the £30.90 deal.

Come on ... it's one thing using a code but this is a step to far ... go away and find a proper deal to post

would you care to enlighten me as to where I can purchase gta v and a blu ray for cheaper than this price as I'm eagerly anticipating your "proper deal"

Ridiculous.
You need to post the full deal.

He needs to post what you can buy and for what price e.g. GTA V + the Bluray name; otherwise he's just posted GTAv + anything for £1.95 on the website. It needs to be done properly.

Hi, add GTA5 to your basket, then add one of the items from the link in the description to make your basket total £40.90. Log in to your account then use the code FEBGIFT10 to take £10 off your basket total giving you the £30.90 deal, hope this helps:)

I don't want to buy it, you need to put the proper full deal.
Otherwise you might aswell have just lited every game that's sub £40 and something saying 'add anything on the site to bump it up to £40'.

Not really; stops ridiculous deals being posted.

Heat added, good find. Others just can't be bothered to have a look for themselves

First search for blurays, there's a bunch around £1.95. One starting at £1.79 (Stealth)
They're all preowned at this price

You're right people shouldn't need to be told that by applying a voucher code to an item that item becomes cheaper. Unfortunately people like to be spoon fed their deals ...

Here's a top tip ... go and look on Rakutens site and if you see something for £40 or more you can get it for £10 less by applying a code. If you see something for less than £40 then add something (any old tat like used DVDs) to take it over £40 so that you can get £10 off. In fact select any combination of items and so long as the total amount is over £40 you can use a code to get £10 off!!

But given that most prices on Rakuten are so high that even a £10-off code wouldn't make them the cheapest option around, that would clearly be a stupid thing to do.

By picking out one game that actually can be got for a good price with the code - simply by adding an extra item to your basket - the OP has drawn HUKD's attention to a good deal.

Do you see?

And then if you find something through this method that's a really good deal, come back here and post it on HUKD - just like the OP has!

I can't believe there are seriously people on this site complaining that people are posting deals here, rather than letting people go off and find them for themselves.

The right thing to do is post the voucher code and then anyone with an ounce of common sense (or if they can be bothered) can visit the site for which the voucher code applies and search for the item they're interested in to see if they can use the code.
Unfortunately, there are those (probably much like yourself) who can't be bothered and are happy for others to do all of the work. If all of the various permutations of items (plus items) - discount code that might constitute a deal were posted this site would be swamped.

Nah, I've sought out and found plenty of good deals with the codes. And then posted them here.

What you're proposing is silly - that people actively shouldn't post good deals here if they can find them. It makes me think that you don't really understand what the site is for.

Yes, that's why people are encouraged only to post the particularly good deals, not every possible permutation.

I notice that you've posted a lot of voucher related deals so I understand why you're trying to defend it but if you really think about you would agree that the deal is the voucher code not each and every item it's applied to. As for me not knowing what the site is about .... I have posted over 1400 deals so I think I can claim that I do have a vague idea Further debate is useless so I guess we will let the temp of the deal decide the outcome

You're right, it's still warm at the moment.

Not as hot as it should be though (sadly, I think there are others who share your opinion).

But like I say, I think your argument is nonsensical - you could extend your logic and say that people are being "lazy" by coming to HUKD for deals at all, when they could go off and find them on their own if they made the effort.

Agree with both of you. There should just be a stickied megapost deal thread with the best rakuten 10 off 40 combos. If there already is one then my bad. These do clog up hukd, but they do advertise the good prices that use the code.
More importantly, finally gta v on next-gen is reasonably priced for what it is!

Pedant alert lol.

despite the above arguments, this game is STILL not cheap enough. if it gets to 20-25 I might bite but I'm not paying that sort of money for a game I completed not that long ago on the 3, they need to realise this if they want to repeat sell to the millions who have already purchased it once......despite all the blah blah enhancements.

The code has expired... all these deals should be marked as such
