Shame it actually says "grandads", poor show Matalan.

A gift for Grandad, on Father's Day... am I missing something?

Ah Grandad won't know if he hasn't got his glasses on

Arggghhh. Not only is it spelt / spelled wrong (it's 2 d's) there's no apostrophe

2 D's ??? Like this > Granddad <- I have never spelt it like that.... or ever seen it like that... why would you use two D's ? oO

Oxford Dictionary lists Grandad and says other "Granddad" and another site says the one with 2 d's is American. Feels strange seeing it with 2 D's.. never used that spelling.

The correct spelling is "Granddad." The rationale for this is that the word "Grandma" combines the words "grand" and "ma." By analogy, "Granddad" combines the words "grand" and "dad." If the word in question were spelled "Grandad" it would mean (theoretically) a grand ad, which is not what was looked for.

bet you're a hoot at a party freccle

ROFL - I did actually cut and paste the above. not ever having had one, I've never really had to spell "granddad" but yes, the 2 d's does look a bit clunky
