They are ADVANCE tickets so are quota controlled to some extent, and only available for approx. 12 weeks ahead at any moment.
When you use the search on their site do notice their prompt on the right - ie to look for orange GRAND CENTRAL balloons (and of course "0" changes) to spot THEIR services & fares.

PS: I got London to/from £12.50 to Bradford, £9.50 back from Wakefield in late April. Trains were quiet then though.

I can't find anything for less than £80 when travelling from Bradford to London on a Saturday....

Totally recommended, though luggage space on their train carriages is a joke - no room for "airline size" luggage on the overhead racks!

Used them from London Kings Cross to Bradford and then from Wakefield Kirkgate back for similar prices in the Spring.

Amusingly their Advance reservation system had put everyone together, like packing sardines, in one coach, while the other carriages were totally deserted. Conductor was recommending people spread out - and obeying him I had a table for 4 to myself both ways.

Very friendly atmosphere from the staff - something to do with the brand having only 8 trains and the 'small business' feel despite being part of yet another UK utility owned by continental business - Deutsche Bahn via Arriva UK Trains.

True, but also charges you a hefty £160 peak and £100 off peak, Plus trains for GC are amazing (especially the older one which is better than business class on a plane).

Heard great things about Grand Central. East Coast is equally good.

Advertising practices state 10% of tickets must be available for this price.

I've never been able to find them this cheap even with a Young person … I've never been able to find them this cheap even with a Young person railcard sadly. They cheapest I get is £20 (so £30 for everyone else without a railcard). Still beats the east coast service hands down! Considerably cheaper and much better service.

Hi. Any chance you could put some example dates down and which station they are from as I can't find any at this price.

Some of the nicest people i have met up there in Yorks!! all races included....makes you southerners (all races) look like nasty k*nts with no manners...fking pigs. Go jump under a tube...suicidal maniacs. Fk you in advance for ruining my commute.
Yorkshire accent is the oldest language of Britain. Yorkshire will take the south some day....

Shame North Yorks has been left out of this deal!
Some of the posters on this thread really need to get out more!
I am a Londoner who has lived in Yorkshire for many years. The funny thing is my roots are more Yorkshire than the locals. Many of these Yorkshire folk think they are 'locals' but get a hell of a shock when they find out that my ancestors were in 'their' town centuries before them.
I love London & North Yorkshire but sadly the UK is going downhill fast.

Big up the Ilkley massive!

Yes, I live in Ilkley and I'd be inclined to agree (unsurprisingly).

Hot deal, just wish I had some holiday to take to enjoy it.

Just under 3 hours from Eaglescliffe.

How long do these trains take ? say from Eaglescliffe to London ?

Why is it that Grand Central's trains stop at Doncaster but they never offer any deals from there?

Great flexible fare if your travelling to York - Teeside - Newcastle (via the Tyne & Wear Metro system @ Suderland) on a budget.

Good Company... Free Wifi for all seats for eg.

Downside is the lack of choice of times (obviously) but since it's a 2-month unspecific ticket, then it's excellent value compared to others, and if it all goes pear-shaped other operators will honor your ticket.

1.5%for Train Tickets over £25 for quidco through train line. So if you buy two at once 75p saved. worth the effort for a few clicks

well i've booked mine today - going from brighouse for a day in half term. £25 return is a bargain. according to my booking confirmation - my seats are reserved both ways with table seats - i now have a very giddy 10 year old as she has never been to london so can't wait!

This is a cracking deal, and deserves far more heat... Not only are the trains far more comfortable and spacious than horrid Virgin, but you even get free wifi!!!! And icing on the cake has to be the excellent service by staff and the extremely low priced food onboard... I thought the woman had charged me incorrectly, so i asked if she was sure and she said yes!!! Sandwich, crisps (Pipers, not crappy seabrooks), fruit cake, 500ml apple juice and a large tea for £6.60 !!! Beat that East Coast Rail!!!
