Tesco have an offer at the minute where you can get a bag of Granny Smith apples (you get about 8 in the bag but they are small) for a £1.00 and that gets you 50 Bonus Clubcard points! By my caluclation that's 50p x 4 = £2.00 of deals or £1.00 to spend on certain items in store including wine so that's either £1.00 profit or free apples in my book

This is WRONG! It's buy 2 bag of various specified apples and get 50 points. Plus all the ones in the offer are £1 something.

There's lots of discussion of this on other forums, and as usual Tesco have been slapshod with their labelling....all other apples under this offer are stickered buy 2 for the points, these ones don't appear to have been but points don't appear to be added at till even if two are bought, most people need to go to CS to have them added and argue labelling is unclear if they have only bought 1 pack.

I just checked my receipt and i cant see any mention of the extra 50 points. I will take it with me next time i go shopping and getting them to add the points i think. thanks britchic.

I had the same problem when I bought these apples. But after a bit of discussion with the manager, I got the points added.

You have to buy two bags for the 50 points, and the £1 bags are not in the offer, checked with customer service.

Sign in my Tesco was right under these apples and it was end of display so they were the only apples on the whole display and didn;t mention anything about 2 packs

same prob
bought a bag today
no points

But PCs are much cheaper!!!!

Oh wait. Wrong Apple thread. Sorry.

Yeah I had the same problem - altho I haven't done anything yet about it because I thought the points might be addedwithin 28 days or something!

The apples I bought had the price tag underneath and the '50 free points' next to the price - no mention of needing 2 packs!

Awful POS by Tesco then!

do all the apples come with a bit bite out of them?

defo says 2 packs in my store

loving the Summer Heights High.

Shoddy labelling at Tesco - I spotted this deal a few days ago in my local Tesco. Shelf label definitely refers to the apples costing £1 and does not state that you have to purchase 2 bags for the bonus 50 Points. In fact, none of the shelf labels state that you have to buy 2 bags. However, on the bags of apples themselves it does state 2 bags for 50 Points. I didn't bother buying as I couldn't be bothered with a discussion at Customer Services.

Still, I suppose it's a mega hot deal if you get them to honour it. It scares me how many people must buy these things and not check their bills, or bother to go to Customer Services to complain.

I went to my local Tesco tonight and purchased one bag for £1 and my till receipt did not show the 50 points so I went to CS and they thought it should be for 2 bags but checked the display label and there was no mention of having to buy 2 bags for the 50 points so they put through the 50 points for me.

Same here as with many others..... I took my 3 bags and receipt to the till. CS acted dumb but am certain they know it isn't working through the system. In any case a quid for a bag of granny's ain't bad!!! LOL

It is 50 points per bag. I got 150 points for my 3 bags but had to ask for them.
