I went into B&M in Nottingham today, all grass seed and patch repair has been reduced.

I got a big bag of patch repair for £1.99

I am sure this is nationwide

Patch repair is not a great buy as its only about 20% seed . Its the seed that grows not the coir or other filler they put in the bag.
Just buy grass seed and a cheap £1 bag of compost and mix it , you will get far more for your money.
I put down some grass seed to cover quite a large area in the garden last year. However, when the grass grew, the blades of grass were completely different to the grass on the rest of the garden. The new blades are quite wide and did not blend in. Can somebody recommend a fine blade type of grass seed please that will blend in better with the rest of my grass (the lawn was already laid when I moved in to my current house around 20 years ago)? Thank you.
