1) ]101 One-pot Dishes: Tried-and-tested Recipes - £2.00 (RRP £4.99)
I missed this on here when it was posted just over a month ago - it's a great little book of simple one pot recipes from BBC Good Food magazine - a bargain at this price.

2) ]Paths of Glory (Hardcover) by Jeffrey Archer - £8.54 (RRP £18.99)
Archer's latest story, based around the story of the ill-fated ascent of Everest by Mallory - less than half-price at the moment (and delivered in a plain brown Amazon wrapper, just in case you're worried what the postman thinks!).

3) ]Bad Science by Ben Goldacre - £6.49 (RRP £12.99)
Essential reading for everyone in our dumbed down angst-ridden times - debunks the ignorance of media scares and popular misconceptions.

4) ]How to Talk to Anyone by Leil Lowndes - £4.94 (RRP 8.99)
A bargain priced book full of tips to help in all sorts of social situations - very useful starting conversations etc.

5) ]The Victorians (Hardcover) by Jeremy Paxman - £10.00 (RRP £25.00)
A lavish book of Victorian paintings and commentary about them, to accompany Paxman's current Sunday evening series - great value at this price for those interested in this sort of thing.

6) ]How to Feed Your Whole Family a Healthy Balanced Diet, with Very Little Money and Hardly Any Time, Even If You Have a Tiny Kitchen, Only Three Saucepans, unless You Count the Garlic Crusher by Gill Holcombe - £5.99 (RRP £9.99)
The title of this runaway bestseller is pretty self-explanatory - an excellent book for wholesome good value food - ideal for all suffering in Brown's Bankrupt Britain.

I'd pay £8.54 to watch someone slap Jeffery Archer!

Ajibee, I'm with you. I adore Jeffrey Archer books, thank you for an excellent post.

I personally loathe computer games but would never dream of voting cold just because of my preferences.....

It's an excellent price and deserves to be voted hot!

Hi Ajibee
Thanks for a great post. It might be a good idea to add as many of the book titles to the header as you can fit in. That way people who are just glancing through can see what's available. At the moment folk are just seeing Jeffrey Archer. And looking at the votes and comments he's not doing you/your post any favours. And for the amount of work you've put into this that's a shame as it is a very thourough and quality post.
Regards Andy

Jeffrey Archer isn't my thing but a hot deal nonetheless.

The 101 books are great and a great price. Nice.

Thanks. Bought the cookbook and the conversation-starter book.
