Its made by Cambridge Audio a great British company know for producing great Audio equipment, which is usually at a premium price. The spear needs to be plugged in to the mains but you can play from your phone through Bluetooth. See the link for full details. Whats also great is that delivery is included in the Price.

So that google can eavesdrop on your every convo?

agreed, whatever next, soon they will convince us to carry devices that have tracking capabilities with built it microphones and cameras that are connected to the internet.

Yes. I have them all over the house. Nothing to hide and option to delete all data at anytime. If the delete option is removed, then Google will be removed.

If you have an Apple phone or Google phone, it's listening to you 24/7.

Have you ever watched "The Great Hack" ? Superb docufilm.

in this day and age, you'll do very well not to be traced everywhere you go.

Cambridge Audio, an honest to goodness British institution for audio gear. Great price too.
Is that 100W RMS or PMPO?
Nice speaker. If only this had Google Assistant built in, I'd be buying it.

Same price on Amazon too

This is random I admit, but how would this compare musically to the Q Acoustic Q-TV2?

I suggest you compile your evidence for that and use it to sue Google. You'd make millions.

Unless, of course, you don't actually have any evidence.

I have the Q-TV2, this will have a long way to go to beat it sound wise..
Great, already have a Bose Soundlink Revolve + but this will be well suited as a stationary device. Nice first post OP!

you're right, I really shouldn't be complaining as a google stockholder. Among other things, it's because ignorant chumps are willing to provide their data to it for free that google is doing so well. Please buy as many as you can!
God that was fast..they seem to have run out of these already.

They still seem to have the other model: BLUETONE 100 for £44.95 at cambridgeaudio.com/gbr…100

That one is NOT integrated with Apple AirPlay...but its still 100 watts and available in Black at the moment
I bought the Air 200; just before Christmas.

What I love about it is the sound quality.

What I don't like about it are two things. It goes to sleep when I am not sending music to it and the iOS software is poor. (The web interface is basic and does allow total control.)

Would I get another Air 200; yes because it sounds that good.
If anyone missed the AIR100, looks like Amazon UK still have about 10 available at the same price...but be fast....

Yes, I'm quite aware of that. But I was responding to an allegation that Google listen to, and I quote - "every convo" - which they don't, since the devices only upload audio to Google where it detects the wake word, i.e. 'OK Google'. Perhaps read properly before making yourself look silly.

Really? They may have been designed in Great Britian, however they have much bigger design facilities in Germany & Hong Kong.
However they, like Audiolab, Mission, Quad, Wharfedale, and Castle are all produced, in Shenzhen, China. There are in fact very few 100% British companies left... (which is sad, especially when you consider how much innovation & invention came from the UK! I went to the same school as the guy that invented the portable defibrillator, the chap that invented the ejector seat lived down the road from me, oh I could name drop all night, but I have to go to bed - I leave you with one more name, Dr Wallace Dinsmore, but I'll let you look up his invention!)

If you want to believe that, good on you. Absolutely no way that the device can be used in any other way unless you say the wake word

To repeat myself, there was a very specific use of Google listening to "every convo". Rather than acknowledge there's no evidence for that, you're trying to equate that to some vague statement about the possibility of the devices being used in a different way.

I'll repeat myself in case again, I responded to an allegation that Google listen to "every convo". As always in these threads, nobody actually has any evidence that they listen to 'every convo".

I guess you just have to trust google & other agencies they work for/with not to maliciously use the internet connected microphone inside your house then

It's more that I trust the thousands of people capable of noticing and analysing the network traffic sent to/from these devices.
