    Remember being on a train when they were filming one of these. Thank god I wasn't in the final cut because I was hanging so hard

    A really great series but he wastes too much time talking to people / enjoying himself , when he should focus more on showing more footage of the line and its heritage

    Disagree. If he did that it would only appeal to railway anoraks. This way you get the context of the area and all the great people he meets along the way.

    I think it's safe to say the formula works given how many series of this and spin-off series there's been. (edited)
