This is really good, you can walk all around for as long as you like, and just turn up anytime. It's open 10-6 Sun-Thur, and 10-10 Fri+Sat, all year round. Nearest tube/train is Blackfriars, about 5 min walk, other stations like Southwark are close. It's right across the Millennium Bridge from St. Paul's! A really good experience. You can view both from open air, and from inside glass for colder days.

Wow, sounds amazing!!

Your on a roll now!....
MORE!

This was in the news a while back as all the people in the flats behind the Tate were complaining. They've all bought a flat for some super sky high fee with huge windows only to have the Tate open this and were complaining that their privacy's totally gone as tourists oggle their living rooms and bedrooms from across the way. There is probably a lot more curtains and blinds up now I imagine.

yeah great view of the big smoke

THanks

They've obviously not lived in HK.:D

If you're coming from Southwark tube station, follow the orange lamp posts straight to the Tate.

Or alternatively wander around Southwark and play spot the Dickens location.

Shakespear's Globe is literally 100m away from the Tate with relatively cheap tickets especially if you buy the returned tickets.

The famous Borough Market is a further 200m away if you are into your very good food.

Don't forget that entrance to the standard Tate Mordern exhibition is free

Wow- boyaloud, thank you!! Just been and seen this AMAZING all round view!! We had a fabulous day for it too. You're right! Best view in London!
