Worth about 3 quid from Poundland

1st post. A TY or no TY or no comment would suffice. Don't be mean. Eh ? Cheers A 🖒
Forgive me, but please don't buy this for a coffee lover. He/she will already have the kit he/she wants.

Besides, this seems to be a kit for Billy NoMates. There's a tiny cafetiere and a single glass to pour it into.
The aldi one is an inferior plastic one, this is an all metal cup. I have one and it's the best travel mug I've owned. Dented, bashed, dropped, rolled down the road, and still seals and keeps coffee warm for a good while, the cafetiere is a bonus that could go on holiday where you wouldn't take your bean to cup machine. Not quite the same, but still better than instant.

Thanks OP

I'm surprised it's not gone cold. All a coffee lover needs is a cup. As said before they are worth £1.99 each if that.
Great present for someone who loves terrible coffee.

Well said. No need to be rude. Thanks for posting, OP.
I have this travel mug and it is extremely good. Don't know about the other bits though.

But you won't get Bodum in Poundland, so not comparing like with like.
I got this set in black a couple of years now for £15 when Curry’s has it on offer. I use the mug everyday for work and keeps my coffee warm for well over an hour if I’ve not got round to drinking it all. Nice rubber grip on the bottom to keep it steady on the train. The only other bit I use sometimes is the big stirrer. My advice would be to buy the mug on its own if you’re looking for one. Don’t know the cheapest but £12.75 on Amazon.

Good luck getting a Bodum cafetiere or mug for £1.99 - you'll pay more than that in a charity shop.
I'm pretty sure I've seen same/similar set in Tesco half priced for less than £10
Sine the mug seems to be what people are into, you can get it in Aldi for £5.99 + delivery as mentioned in hotukdeals.com/dea…242

I am waiting to see if they bring it to store on Sunday. I am too tight to pay for delivery.
I love real coffee but I've never had decent coffee from a cafetiere.
They on offer at aldi or Lidl I'm sure

Seriously...some folk on here spout absolute mince.
Bodum Travel Mugs are great and are normally £15 ish but can be bought for a wee bit less in some places.
At least have a clue about the item in question before you rattle off the "worth a quid" "£1 at best" nonsense comments!
The bodum mugs are decent, not like the usual crap you get. For me, the decent choice in mugs are either Bodum or the starbucks mugs, and considering the Starbucks mugs retail at more than this set, this is a decent buy. An old mug of mine was a bodum until I dropped it and cracked the lid. This isn't the usual cheap pound land or Tesco off the shelf crap. It's a decent buy.

Just posting "no ty" would be meaner than saying why, surely.
I have one of the bodum cups and they are great. You WILL NOT find anything as good in Poundland, so don't listen to the haters!

Nice one OP!
Not a bad price for what this is. Good post OP. A bit Billy No Mates as stated above though. Depending on how they like their coffee this may not suit. A stovetop pot "mocha" thing may be a better fit if they are in to italian style coffee.

For those loving this bodum coffee mug, try a Contigo WestLoop. Another league in quality and performance. No spill easy drink lid that is easy to clean, insulated so keeps warm for up to 5* hours, and cold for up to 12*, no rubber things that just get loose, collect dirt and just generally look bad over time.
*=quoted by manufacturer. Really its more like 3 and 6-8 in my experience. Still good though.
I have a few of these. They also fit my car cup holder perfectly.

RRP is steep but they can be found regularly for <20. As per the amazon link below. Definitely worth the few quid more imo.

*Note*: To clarify, i am not saying this bodum mug is like a pound shop jobbie, but more middle of the road. The contigo is a premium travel mug for just a few quid more, the poundland special is a budget model(likely with yucky plastic interior) for a few quid less

Final edit: something that occurred to me on reading the last few comments
Another plus to the contigo stuff is that they sell an array of spares, so you can get a new lid, cleaning brushes, etc.

The mug at Aldi is plastic - the good ones are steel as pictured - I think I paid around £12 at tk maxx for mine last year - it worth every penny

As others who have an understanding of bodum quality have said, these mugs are far superior to Poundland tat.

I've had the travel mug for around 3 years and it's survived endless dishwasher cycles and been thrown in and out of work locker. It is unrivalled in keeping drinks warm in my opinion. Great for sipping on during my hour+ commute.
I hate coffee, but voted hot to counter the clueless haters.
This travel mug is very good. I got 2 bodum travel mugs that is a cafetiere as well, I use it more than my nespresso because it keeps the coffee hot longer, good for enjoying your coffee while reading the dumb comments in here.
The travel mug is the best I've had and I've had a lot! The travel mug alone sells for £15+ so its good value for a nice set.

As for "billy no mates cafetiere", think about people who work from home or stay at home mums who want a quick nice coffee. This is the perfect size for that. Heat added thanks op.

Just bought a second one from amazon and agree it's worth every penny
