Don't think item is good. Paid £30 for it. Biggest issue I have is that the water splashes out too much. I was unable to take the head off and put in and aerator. As a result it's splashes alot. I wish it had a built in aerator!

Iv had similar problems with a similar size tap. I now have a standard mixer tap and no issues with splashing water all over back of my worktop where as before I'd have to use a cloth behind every time

In our houses I always fit grohe, had too much troubles with others and in the end burnt some money I would have saved in the long run fitting proper stuff from day 1.

You can sometimes scoop some off ebay for little less money
Bought this tap last week from Screwfix and fitted it. Very happy with the purchase and can confirm it does have an aerator.
Like apparently everyone else on HDUK, I also have this tap. And have done for a while.

The problem is when you turn it, you're gonna turn the end, by where the water comes out. Because where else can you? But that puts ungodly stresses on the thing, because it's a tap, not a lever. And not a well designed one either. I'm on the second because the first cracked because of this (replaced, but didn't buy from SF).

Got an identically styled one with a pull out on eBay for around the same price. If you don't mind waiting I'd recommend.

I got a Grohe mixer for my kitchen, it lasted 3 years then started dripping.... I did replace it with another Grohe but I don't expect it to last any better...you do get what you pay for to some degree but I imagine even the dear brands are now made in China and are no more repairable than the cheaper ones...or at least not cost effective.

Didn't make it clear., so even though you say it was poor and you weren't happy with the design you were still happy to have the same one back under warranty rather than ask for a refund. Think you need more than a coffee
Had various accessories from Cooke & Lewis and they have pretty much all had issues and slowly fallen apart. I would avoid, personally.
Isn't Cooke & Lewis a B&Q own brand?

If so, wouldn't go anywhere near it.

We have one bath mixer going on almost 15years but that one is hans grohe, only thing that was replaced was the pull knob for the water head changeover

yeah it's their own brand, at this sort of price expect it to last a couple years then replace, anything longer is a bonus. £20 retail for a mixer tap is stupidly cheap really for something that probably should cost £100+ and last 15 years.
Crap generic Chinese tat, just avoid it.
Replaced my kitchen tap with this 2 weeks ago(same price at the time). Looks good and have no issues so far. Looks like well made, but time will tell how long it rally last

The item number was 272842315547 back then. It was nearly 12 months ago, it was actually £34.69 - can no longer see it.

The same tap is #5 on here - 263084953073. Says location london, but i'd be suprised.

Depends whether or not it's worth an extra £15 for the ability to pull it out, especially if you have a larger sink.

It's just a weighted pipe with a magnetic clip so it fits back on very easily. Thought it was 20 I'd paid. memory is failing me. lol

It'd 10% cheaper if you can combine it with the AUS eBay discount though

Looks good. Did you guys fit these yourself or get a plumber? If you paid someone to fit it how much did that cost? Cheers.
Had this tap fitted 2 1/2 years ago - All good, no problems
You may be right. Mine looks very similar but not branded Cooke and Lewis.

Thanks. Good deal for anyone who wants it!

Voted hot.

Weve got this exact tap in our kitchen think we paid about £30. I changed the tip for a swivel aerator from amazon as well.

Probably. Bought it off screwfix for £30.

It's not a Cooke and Lewis though.

Good news is it's only for the spare utility kitchen and not the main. For that I bought a nice £100 one from Screwfix.
You want one of these - pure majj gadget especially at night!

Purchased and DIY fitted in less than an hour. Delighted to find the box included 2 flexible connectors for the price and that the tap is guaranteed for 10 years.
