Great cash back on all virgin media deals.
Full house + Sky cinema work out around £38 /month for 200Mb broadband and very good to package with movies.
£62x12 months + £20 activation fee -£220 cashback

62x12 = 744 add a £20 activation fee that equates to 764. If you take away £220 in cash back then you’re left with a yearly cost of 544. The equivalent monthly cost is therefore £45.33. Still a good deal, but it might be worth changing your title.

New customers only I presume.

A word of warning to those who run a VPN service to anonymize browsing, you won't get anywhere near line speed with Virgin Media.
It's to do with single thread download performance being poor on VM.

I was getting an average of 7Mb via VPN on a 100Mb connection.
I'm getting the full 76Mb via Plusnet.

This won't apply to the majority of people out there but thought I'd mention it as I fell in the trap last month.

Yes Fibre Extra.

I've had zero issues with Plusnet.
They're very flexible and let you use your own equipment/router so you're not locked down and you can have a static IP address for a small fee (£5 IIRC).

They even readily price match competitors when your contract is up for renewal.

All in all I can't fault them.

I've found BT Fibre to provide a better quality broadband and Virgin to provide a faster service (for the majority).
As much as I'd like >76Mb I just can't get the same service elsewhere without compromise.

That's the one I use and had speed issues with

Some people are unaffected and others have issues and Virgin are useless when it comes to those sorts of (complicated) issues. When it works its great, when it doesn't you're practically on your own.

I have this package and theres nothin more virgin have u get everything they have. Price the same at sky.

Using VM cable on 50 mb package do speed check its always around 50 mb but seem still get buffering when streaming
Also some times get slowdown when just loading pages does this sound like problems you had ?
Problem is cant get BT fiber so any alternative is very slow ie upto 6 mb max

Apparently Speedtest.net is a multi thread test so not entirely accurate for measuring the likes of throughput via a VPN.

ThinkBroadband Speed Test is better as it shows single & multi thread performance.

When I enabled the VPN and tested my Virgin 100Mb speed via Speedtest.net the speed would fluctuate wildly and was not representative of what I was achieving while downloading files.

that will be the website then, not your internet...

Looks a good price compared to what sky are offering now I'm coming to the end of my contact. How much extra would an additional box for upstairs be? I've looked on website but can't see. Thanks

Strangely can stream same via 4g on phone no problem and get no slow down in web pages
and this is only really using phone as hotspot

Do it, I did and they paid up within about 2 months! Happy days and what a bargain, can't understand the cold votes.

Im getting around the same as what I got with sky fiibre max.. which does fluctuate depending on server load, but anwyhwere between 4MB and 8MB

I just got the VIP package for £70 a month with the cashback. Engineer came round earlier today wanting to dig up my brand new driveway to install a cable - not gonna happen. So I've had to cancel the contract.
Anyone had a similar experience?
