An off peak day return from Dumbarton to Cumbernauld is £7.40.
Dumbarton to Cumbernauld is only £13.20 if your return trip is on a different day. A Roundabout ticket is only valid for one day.

I don't live in Glasgow, but on the odd occasion I've been there I've seen lots of Roundabout posters and leaflets so I'm surprised people who are local don't know about it, unless they never use public transport.
As far as I'm aware every large city has a similar ticket, often including buses, trams, ferries etc as well as trains. Certainly Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham and London do.

Why so angry? OP has highlighted a cheaper way to get something, whether or not it's new.

Not angry, I just don't think this is a deal.

If everyone posted new deals for things that are the normal price the site would be unusable.

I live in Glasgow and I didn't know about this deal. To quote you -

"I don't live in Glasgow, but on the odd occasion I've been there I've seen lots of Roundabout posters and leaflets so I'm surprised people who are local don't know about it, unless they never use public transport."

It's the festive season, exactly the time of year when people that don't normally use public transport, might. eg. to avoid queues at car parks, parking fees, etc or using public transport on nights out to avoid having to be a designated driver.

Voted hot.

Unlimited subway sounds good. Especially if you eat there on a regular basis !

I know it always amazes me that anyone makes the effort to put deals on here with grumpy gits retaliating!!
If you don't care for the deal ignore it!!

Are we not allowed to have a difference of opinion any more?

I don't think this is a deal. I said so politely without resorting to name calling, unlike some people.

There are far too many non-deals, duplicates etc on the site, it's sometimes hard to find genuine deals.

Just ignore it and say nothing then. Be polite. Someone has taken time out of there day to share!

Their day, not there day. If your understanding of the English language is so basic that you can't differentiate between two homonyms then maybe you shouldn't be posting?

Willy get a life!

I use the train everyday and didn't know about this!!! Not that it will save me money but still seems a good deal for others

There you go then, with a bit of thought and basic maths, you can save some cash.
£13.20 return for a journey over 2 days or 2 x £6.30 roundabout tickets for £12.60.

It's a deal, while it is regular price. It serves the purpose of saving money where people may not know about it.
£15 itune vouchers cost, wait for it £15. However you can always get a discount on ****.com, not everyone knows how to get everything cheaper.
