Green Flag Recovery Plus £10. after going through Quidco. £60 cover with £50 cash back.

National recovery for your car for £60, which is very competitive, although I went via Quidco last night and purchased it for £56.18 (not sure why it was less than £60!) and the cashback has tracked this morning. Therefore, I'm paying £5.18 for national breakdown and recovery cover, inc home start! I covered just the vehicle and not personal cover, this took it to £80+.
My Car is nearly 4 years old, so that might be why its quite cheap cover! Great peace of mind for when my family are traveling without me.
Quidco states it expires 31st December 2013!
Good luck.
This looks like its been posted before and now expired. Reading some of the feedback, the price does vary on the age of the car. Cashback through quidco has normally worked the majority of the time, but obviously not guaranteed. However, I still think £56.18 is a great price, cheaper than the others.

That is smoking

Highly rate green flag and great price however quidco didn't pay out for me even though I raised a case

HOT if you can get it at this price mine comes in at £87 for 9 year old car. Bit much for cover I'll hold on till rac or aa do an offer. Plus quidco have been gits in the past when I took out a green flag policy. In the end they didn't pay so be vary although just my experience.

Hot hot. Done mine last nov got £50 cash back in feb

Still waiting for my cashback.

Green Flag are notorious for not paying out on Quidco.

Do not buy on the basis of any Quidco payment.

I could not get price less than £95.99 for none of my two cars :-(
Auto-aid is cheaper option for me.

I got my green flag cover at the start of the month for £22.90! 3 year old car and only the basic roadside option, but considerably better than the £58 the aa wanted for a renewal and still better than the £32 the rac were after. Haven't managed to get the tcb to track even after querying but at that price I'm not complaining.

So here I am in a hotel in the middle of nowhere as my tyre blew out on A1 and my AA breakdown ran out last month!! A new tyre in the morning costing £300! AA wanted £154 to join during a breakdown and £2.50 per mile outside of 50 miles recovery and I'm 150 miles from home!! Anyway joined Green Flag tonight for next time!!
Hope my BMW sports convertible is okay parked in rural area tonight off A1!!!

startrescue is much cheaper with 15 percent topcahback

Did this last year. Paid £48 for cover and got £50 back

All dependent on getting the cash back of course, which is not guaranteed...

Don't think Green Flag cashback is very reliable.

ETA - or the breakdown service if you read some of the reviews!! Not something I'd take a chance on tbh.

BMW Hunting on the A1

£62 for my kuga which after the £50 cash back leaves £12 for a years breakdown cover, voted hot as this is a very good deal

COLD. rubbish staff who only want to recover the car & not find simple faults like a broken battery cable???????
How difficult is that to find. trust me i"ve twice had to suffer this type of idiot service.

green flag decline cash back for no reason in my experience.

I use these, £24 for 15 months
autonational.co.uk/aut…jsp?

113 for a ten year old peugeot 307, just to put it in perspective, not surprising really!

I got green flag (level 3 Recovery) last August, and Cashback through Top cashback.

It was £42.40 and I got £20.20 Cashback...so £22.20 for a years cover. A bit of a slow process for the Cashback, but not much of a problem.

I know Topcashback are still offering Cashback throughout the various levels of cover. But this does sound like a good deal if quidco pay up!

Still failed to acknowledge cashback with nearly a years cover approaching.

Avoid.

I have had them out in he past and found them very helpful...however, I think they use local contractors, so might not all be as good.

They came out fast and identified that a petrol pipe had come off underneath the car (it was dark and wet). He repaired it (temporary) but it never came off again!! And then he followed me most of the way home for reassurance...never had to use them since...fortunately

Do I have to pay direct debit to get this (it appears to state BACS only) - so if you pay the one off by debit card you don't get the Quidco!??????

my battery negative cable snapped & was hanging underneath my car, the car would not start, the fitter checked for a fault & was under the car & said the starter motor was U/S . he recomended someone he knew local to fix it & i took his telephone number. when he left i took a quick look under the car at the starter motor & saw straight away that the battery cable had snapped from a earth point on the engine, the cable hung about 6inches away from the starter motor that he had tested. this was a local recovery firm in newcastle. anyone who knows about cars will tell you the battery cable snapped could not be missed by a genuine fitter( this is the largest cable on a car, as thick as a finger) this could not be missed ever by anyone.

Yes i would like the answer to this too. But i do read it that you need to take the monthly option.

Green flag is rubbish , breakdown service poor, my car was breakdown few times they never send person to repair , they don't want to touch anything , always taking me to the nearest garage, RAC is better

Google Auto Aid - this is EXACTLY the same as Autonational (same company) but has roadside, recovery & at home for my 17 year old Lexus (but covers person so any car you happen to be in) and you get free Spouse cover (again any car) for only £39 ! Only drawback is you have to pay recovery firm first and then claim it back. Been with them 5 years now and must have called out 5 times at least, paid the bill and claimed back with no hassle. Have renewed again today best £39 spent for peace of mind and good service !

@think - Let us know where on the A1 your 'BMW sports convertible' is and we'll send someone up to take care of it. Oh, and you're welcome!

any ideas about start rescue?

Still waiting for cashback months later. Possibly the slowest/worst paying on topcashback

Ha ha, it's safely on my drive now cheers after new tyre fitted!

beware of auto renew I was quoted £60 extra for 2 years no claims and could actually buy it cheaper as a new customer .... I still have breakdown cover with european cover much cheaper NOT WITH GREEN FLAG rip off merchants checkout quotelinedirect.co.uk who also offer TCB

They only cover 1 car, not the driver, and you have to be the registered owner. Which stung me earlier in the year, so I'm changing to a different company

When i did my quote there was an option to cover just the car or the person driving any car. So i guess its the options you ticked when you applied to get the cheapest quote.

I have the Natwest Advantage Gold account, comes with Green Flag breakdown, of course I only found out I wasnt covered on the day I had the breakdown. I call them up and ask and they said they only cover cars not people. :-/
