I'm still waiting for my TCB cashback for Green Flag from last March. Yes, I did do all the form-filling of policy number, etc and I have raised it (repeatedly) with TCB. I *did* get £1 - but the rest is still showing "29 Mar 2012 Green Flag...value will uplift to the appropriate amount.]".. I've never had this problem with Quidco...

Grrrrrrrrrrr

I'm same, still waiting from January 2012 for my TCB!!
Not guaranteed so abit of a gamble
Try putting in for personal cover instead of car cover last time I bought from them it was cheaper than buying the single car cover
Its an indication they are struggling with cash flow....nothing come free! Be carefull, not to get caught like the camera, sound or TV folks that went under recently!!!
Was going to buy this anyway so could work out I got a year for £2.14! Thanks OP, worth a punt.

Absolute rubbish. Why is it that any company releasing decent offers nowadays is always jumped upon by armchair economists insisting that it's a sign they're about to collapse? While of course it could mean that, it could just as easily mean that they are trying to increase their market share in the face of tough competition from the AA and RAC.
Great deal, but how long until you get your cash back is anyone's guess. Have a bit of heat.
Quidco is no faster, took over 6 months to get mine, then it was reduced to a measly 5 quid, which Quidco snatched as their annual charge.:(
don't waste your time - been waiting over 6 months for Green Flag to even acknowledge that I have joined them via QUIDCO

Same with me and that is with Quidco
ha, ha just emailed Green Flag this link - and tole them to see what their customers think about the offer
told them that is
Got AA cashback earlier this year, worked fine and covered about 50% of the bill. Not as good as this but I was happy with that.
remember these sorts of recovery don't included breakdown as a result of an accident....
I believe Green Flag is owned by RBS.
I've been waiting for my £50 from quidco too since October. Surely they cannot not honour it? It shows as tracked.
I would take this up as i'm about to get cover for myself & another person, but given what i'm reading here I think I'll go with another company. I won't vote either way.

I'll be surprised if they reply, as is usually the case with companies that are presented with the truth.

cold cashback not guaranteed
AA cashback always works for me although it does take some time to be paid. Never tried freenflag.
Always use TCB
This site is best but this site is better? Doh :-(
i think ALL recovery deals are crappy... i bought AA recovery from QUIDCO last year and never got my 50quid back... 'wrong' membership number, didn't register... every excuse possible...

i'm wondering if a paid bank account would guarantee a better deal?

Might be coincidence as to what they think of the thread, but I'm getting "The relationship with this advertiser is no longer available on TCB"

Spammer. ( above your post )
This is definitely not a hot deal because the premise of the deal relies on the implied cashback - (which is none existent).

I've taken out a policy back in August with GreenFlag and went through TCB. First the cashback didn't track (happy coincidence?). Now I'm still awaiting GreenFlag to even acknowledge the transaction (after multiple nudges). I feel like this is a lost cause.

I've used RAC in the past and their cashback service, you still have to wait an extended period but everything went through without any problems.

Steer clear, cold.

We found them most unhelpful when we needed them. Beware of the ten mile limit for recovery, it can cost a fortune per mile after that.

We went with Autoaid and were thankful we did. Costs £40pa for me and my husband (it automatically includes a spouse), and when he broke down over 70 miles away from home they arranged recovery and paid for it.

You do have to pay upfront for recovery/repairs, but they are quick at sending the cheque. Slightly longer with ours as the bill was £345...and it needed approving. But better than not being covered!

And so even though we could have had potentially free cover with Green Flag - the bill for breaking down more than 10 miles away from home would have cost us a whole lot more than the £40 we paid to Autoaid for a year's cover

Sounds like a seriously cold deal
Just a thought about TopCashBack - I had a claim that I kept nudging for nearly a year then I emailed them a message and the claim appeared approved just about the next day. So worth persuing .
Sounds good but as it looks like you'll have to whistle for your cashback I vote cold.
"…. armchair economists …"

Reality is one's experience whereas others' realtity is merely one's knowledge. If the jokers are not going to payout, they are merely waiting for an opportunity to expand on the middle part of the truth - just like politicians, crooks, liars, cheats, and those who rely on the truth which lacks a beginning and/or an ending to write their version of truth as things go along - waiting for the limelight to shine on them before they [are able to] "reveal" their truth. This is how businesses, the majority of which are of a suspicious nature because ALL humans are dual natured, clean up their act/history - whenever they are able to otherwise, it is try, try and try again. What determination toothfairies have, eh?. When it comes to the middle part of a truth, it is the "pros" that one should be wary of, those who are always siding with the middle truthers becuz these types are the overly-developed of The Brain, oka those who lack conscience other than posturing as the overly conscienced. Yes, if only people know their true self better than they know others' self.

Whenever there are Pros vs Cons, oka "Of Democracy", it is because the truth is lacking otherwise there will be no such a thing as Pro vs Con. Don't/Can't believe it? Hands up those who believe that there is a Pro vs Con when it comes to breathing to stay alive. Really? That religion then is called, "Ve von't take NO fur zer answer …", because these types live on air - their excuse for breathing. Why, of course, that explains everything, just like Zer Green Flag Cashback, these jokers being too busy eating air to stay alive otherwise they'll get around to issuing Zer Cashback. Yes matey, you got it right, they are having cashflow adjustment issues. When the circulation of money, oka credit/debt, is "limited", everyone then is "limited" - other than whores, pimps, druggists, chemists, quacks, the politikos and their bumpals, the money merchants. It is another way of showing who is the boss and who are the stupidos-dumbos, the latter being those who are sold the Middling Truth and find it so digestive that they are always salivating for more - like eagerly awaiting to "elect" the next batch of angels who never lie, cheat, steal and so forth. No wonder the real/petty crooks are green with envy because the pros make it look so simple, easy and invincible to "Justice".
BE WARNED!!!! They charged me £280 to tow me five miles. They claimed it was because they used specialist equipment. They then had me over a barrel as they had the car and wouldn't take it off the tow truck till I paid then threatened me with extortionate holding and storage fines if I disputed and refused to pay. The argument was that all of this is in the terms and conditions given to me when I signed up..... Avoid like the blooming plague
Another one here still waiting for topcashback payment after 7 months.
Looks like TCB now has the max cashback at £25.25 so suspect they cocked up.
It will be interesting to see if the honour the £60.60 or not.

Just noticed this! Clicked when it said £60 and bought...
still waiting for my cashback off of TCB for my greenflag purchase in june of last year... after many to's and fro's with support am still waiting for a response as they "have to resubmit the claim"

won't be going with greenflag in future... and TCB is usually good, got my £60 cashback for plusnet signup (for my relative) within 1-2 months
topcashback has gone **** recently.

the last 3 of my transactions haven't tracked.
Kwik Fit recovery seem to have some fairly reasonable standard prices for breakdown cover. ~15% cashback from quidco too.

£28.85 for their Recovery package on a 5 year old car, which is the second best one (includes homestart, recovery, etc - just not European cover).
