If someone could confirm that this a nationwide offer when they pop to asda today that would be great.

Is this price reduced to clear or nationwide promo ?

Price is a little red round sticker and marked on the plastic wrapping, Came in on the delivery like it, so my guess would be nationwide,

Asda have announced huge cuts across the board, with Tesco following suit starting from Monday. Not forgetting the voucher in the news of the world to be issued again by Tesco this weekend for a fiver off when you spend thirty quid......... They are keen for us to spend our cash, but who are we to argue, if we shop sensibly this will save a small fortune in the very short term!!!

It was on the news - part of the "price war" the major supermarkets have started to try and get us all spending again!

oooh they have not said any of what you guys just said to us, but then again i work the night shift so......

The big 4 are running scared now, because Aldi, Lidl and Iceland have seen their market share SOAR in the past few months - all of them have seen around a 20% increase in business.

The Tesco store near us admittedly a smaller one, seems to be emptier than usual. This has to be due to a new Lidl store near us. - Don't think its all that especially for the branded stuff personally.

Bring on the competition & lower prices for us!

Loads of stuff at Asda for 50p. Tesco are cutting prices by up to 50% on thousands of items in response.

I just hope this doesn't come at the expense of small suppliers worldwide. Hot deal though.

of course it will...it's a double edged sword for the consumer though.

great price love grapes, thing i hate about these offers though is that they always seem to put the prices up after a few days to more than they were b4 hand.

That's why it's called an "offer".

20% of lidl/aldi UK business is probably 0.00000001% of Tescos business so I doubt that they will be losing much sleep.

What a 'grape' price!

Nice to see the supermarkets doing something to lessen the impact of positive descrimination.

Mad Max life can't come soon enoúgh.

About time too, food prices are getting extortionate while these companies still make ever increasing profits, but as has already been said be prepared as all these price cuts or offers will end up being more expensive. Aldi , netto and lidl are the only ones i see trying to keep their food prices down. Will this affect the smaller producer ? yes of course and i feel sorry for them but at the same time if i can buy grapes(example) for 50p or the same grapes for 1.99 i know which im buying, the smaller supplier will be removed not by us looking for bargains but by greedy supermarkets trying to increase their profit margins.

awesome! down to asda it is then!

Got my grapes this morning, lovely bloomers & banana's all for 50p each.

THESE PRICES ARE WHAT THEY SHOULD BE!

Thanks to deal poster. Its about time prices started to fall!! :x

Keep me posted on the other Tesco/Morrison etc deals.
