When the whistle blows the blood flows...

Rival football firms go head-to-head in this story of violence, adrenaline, loyalty, rivalry and back-street warfare.

Matt Buckner (Elijah Wood) moves to London after being kicked out of Harvard University for alleged drug dealing. Before long he gets sucked into the hardcore world of booze, balls and violence with London's toughest football firm - the Green Street Elite.

While Matt's busy proving himself in battle, a chain of events is set in motion that threatens to destroy everything he holds dear.

Both of you i can honestly say i cant beleive what i'm hearing. Green Street for one is far better than Football Factory and is an extremely entertaining film. What a bargain for £2.89

This is easily in the top rated films ive seen. Cant understand why you have said it is ****.

Please can you explain...

Maybe because its about a Hobbit that becomes a casual, My Precious!!

i dont want to sound pretentious but that blokes cockney accent ruins the film. would have been a rubbish film anyways, and ive got low standards

This film is absolute tripe.

One reason being that you've got one of the main characters - Newcastle born actor Charlie Hunnam - doing the worst job at a cockney accent I've ever seen. When you ring up customer services for your local bank and get put through to someone in Bangladesh - I'll guarantee you that if you ask them to do a cockney accent it will sound around 500 times more genuine than Charlie's poor attempt. It makes you cringe all the way through the film and makes it a lot less unbelievable and a lot more like Hollyoaks.

Just as unbelievable is Elijah Wood being cast in the role of good boy turned bad, as his style is completely unsuited to the role - adding to the huge lack of realism.

Granted, the plot is actually OK, but the casting and acting pushes this film right down to average at very best. It may be passable to watch with the dimmer switch on your brain turned down to minimum though.

lol, i was gonna write another post with more reasons why this film is rubbish, but samc, u did a good job.

This is the first time ive ever been violently sick over myself while watching a film because of the acting.

You must be a fun date:p

I will tell you why this is c r a p , first mistake .. written and directed by a woman , second mistake going against industry professional advice and casting that dweeb out of lord of the rings who you just cant take serious...you just want to stick your hand through the tv and give him a good slapping,i could go on and on ...utter garbage from start to finish :x

Personally I dont think a tooled up,Stone Island wearing Hobbit makes for a very convincing hoolie. The mockney accents are laughable as well.

Give me The Firm any day of the week.... "YETI !!!!!!!!!"
