Green flag are one of the better cheap breakdown cover suppliers

At the moment, the recovery plus which includes breakdown cover, relay, at home etc - says from £60 but my quote came in at £49 - so must depend on car (clearly Japanese Mazda is seen as reliable!)

But, also get free MOT @ Halfords which is good (worth £54 - though as we know we ca get MOTs for £40 ish)

So £9 for my annual breakdown.

BUT -Topcashback (expires tomorrow) are offering £40.40 cashback on this policy, so MOT and annual full home/roadside/relay breakdown cover for £9!

They do quote the policy needs to run for 3 months to validate the policy (so you don't cancel) - so you should be due in the next month or so.

Thanks for the info, here's hoping then ! :-)

Do they pay out on tcb?

Generally or on this offer?

Generally - yes

On this offer - I don't see why not - but read T&C (unlike me!) and pay with BACS!

Original Poster

Actually - I may be wrong lol!

They say:-

"TopCashback will only pay cashback on Green Flag policies to users who use BACS as their cashback payment method."

That's TCB paying you - not how you pay Green Flag! So I may get my cashback!!!

Not sure about the free MOT. That's usually just a licence to flog you some unnecessary repairs.
But £10 a year for breakdown is good.

Agree - its at Halfords so can't be toooooooo dodgy (though I'd not use Halfords by choice). If the MOT voucher doesn't have reg on then I'll take the shed there when it is due as I know it'll fail - but will want to check just in case it hangs on for another year!!

6th month running and no cashback till now..:-(

The link doesn't work

Good offer but think i'll pass considering no-one has received cash back!

Of course not

The deal is best via TopCashBack - so go there directly and look for Green Flag

If you want to go to Green Flag directly - click greenflag.com/bre…er/ - but if I were you I'd only go via TCB to avoid cookies saying you went directly

Cashback is always iffy. TCB pay the cashback directly. Quidco don't know - but on Quidco site they mention payment in 6mths by default - so its not a quick payer and don't expect as much.

I was mainly interested as it was pretty much a free breakdown cover for me as the free MOT normally costs me the same as I've just paid for the annual cover. Cashback would be a nice bonus!

Blimey good deal without the cash back, flipping great with (if it works...) heat

Great deal thanks

Im still waiting for my TCB to even track two months later,,,,

They've just quoted me £127 on the recovery plus, with a car ive had since 2007, that has never had a single problem

would have been hot if it were £70 or less quote for me

Great offer, I have never had a problem with cashback on TBC you do have to allow time just like has been said for deals like this as well as insurance and utilities.
Quidco sadly I do not trust anymore, they were better when we all paid subscriptions as the only way they got their money was by taking it out of our cashback, so they would make sure it tracked.

Just quoted me £89 for recovery plus

Quotes coming in all over the shop, £100 for myself. Not really a deal when it's not a set price..

Still waiting for my cashback having purchased this in January! Never ever expect it (Mine was with TBC)

Yeah - I guess the quotes vary on car/age

My quote £49.82 for me+wife on 2010 Mazda MX5 <10,000 miles per year.

We needed cover as only realised today we didn't have it so this jumped out.

Bought, will rest easy knowing the car can be taken to wherever we want now.

Quoted £90, but £35 back from Quidco

Poor tracking facility.

Unlikely to pay out from personal experience.

Thanks, I'll keep my fingers crossed then :-)

mine says 65.72 for my 08 HYUNDAI AMICA 1.1

never had paid for the cover before, does it look like a good deal?

You might want to read the tcb feedback for free flag. All the 5stars are intact negative

I love this break down company.....

Looks like they need to push more cars, plenty of junk in the trunk there.

Over £100 for my Golf

90+ quid for a car that's never broken down which does less than 10k a year. Not that good a deal for me with green flag even with cash back
