What's this company like? Thanks

I've not had to make a claim, fortunately, but reviews I've read have all been favourable.
The major difference between AutoAid and the likes of RAC/AA is the fact that you pay for the service you receive, then you claim it back from AutoAid. But otherwise you are getting a full monty pacage for less cost.

Just had my renewal notice for the next 12 months and I'll be taking it.

true dat. Me and the wife are with Nationwide - £120 fees for the year gives us
UK and EU breakdown
travel insurance worldwide (claimed a camera stolen no probs, £50 excess)
Extended warranty (fixed laptop at 13 months)
Mobile Phone cover (dropped my lumia 925, they fixed screen, £25 excess)
Free cash withdrawals worldwide at current exchange rates
etcetc
Highly recommended (I'll refer anyone if they want to share the £100 each love)

donslibi

Out of interest, how much does that RAC cover cost you?

Bought on Tesco Clubcard points. Can't remember to be honest with you, but it's currently listed as £90 worth of Clubcard points (9000 points). Admittedly these points were earned via TCB when it was easy to get 5000 points. This is a family policy so covers at least 4 of us in any car in the UK. Next year we will likely be with GreenFlag as the clubcard points have dried up since disappearing from TCB, presuming they stay cheaper than the rest.

Don't use greenflag on a cashback site because they mostly get declined so you end up paying full price. They never give a reason when it is declined either

Not sure why this deal is expired as the offer is still on and it's a cracker. My 10 year old Touran came in at £86 but with a free MOT and £40 cashback my breakdown cover is essentially free!!!

Try getting it for £60. The deal says From £60, my quote came in at £84 for my car which is used less than 5k miles/yr, used twice at weekends and is 6 yrs old.

Not really a deal in my opinion even with a free MOT....I personally wouldn't waste my time having my car mot'd at Halfords even for free. They are renowned for failing your car for the slightest thing so they can perform costly repairs. I've had first hand experience of this. Also just look at reviews on the Internet.

Still waiting for my cashback from months ago....never again.

was going to say the same an excellent company, and they do personal cover instead of covering one car so you can be a passenger in a car and still get recovered, beats other companies hands down in my opinion as their recovery is by a local garage so I've never had to wait too long. I'm always recommending these guys to people as the service you get is excellent.

Tempted but the post in this thread about cashback have put me off. But thanks to the many posters suggesting alternatives I'd not heard of. Very helpful!

Is this just for married people or can it be any other person? Great price regardless of cashback

Damn, wish I'd stuck with Start Rescue. Always got tcb cashback from them and cost half the price for similar cover. Tcb is still showing confirmed but at £0.00 instead of £40.40. If I don't get Green Flag cashback won't be renewing. (Probably wouldn't have anyway thinking about it :p).

I have always used Quidco and done so for many years and always got my cashback from them but it does take a while. Just make sure it tracks and if not cancel it and take it out again providing you purchase it a few weeks before it starts.

Don't forget it is Quidco or Topcashback that pays you not Green Flag. They get the commission and then pass it on to you.
It does state in the T&C's do not contact the merchant as they will be unaware.

If the jokers are not going to payout, they are merely waiting for an opportunity to expand on the middle part of the truth - just like politicians, crooks, liars, cheats, and those who rely on the truth which lacks a beginning and/or an ending to write their version of truth as things go along - waiting for the limelight to shine on them before they [are able to] "reveal" their truth. This is how businesses, the majority of which are of a suspicious nature because ALL humans are dual natured, clean up their act/history - whenever they are able to otherwise, it is try, try and try again. What determination toothfairies have, eh?. When it comes to the middle part of a truth, it is the "pros" that one should be wary of, those who are always siding with the middle truthers becuz these types are the overly-developed of The Brain, oka those who lack conscience other than posturing as the overly conscienced. Yes, if only people know their true self better than they know others' self. Whenever there are Pros vs Cons, oka "Of Democracy", it is because the truth is lacking otherwise there will be no such a thing as Pro vs Con. Don't/Can't believe it? Hands up those who believe that there is a Pro vs Con when it comes to breathing to stay alive. Really? That religion then is called, "Ve von't take NO fur zer answer …", because these types live on air - their excuse for breathing. Why, of course, that explains everything, just like Zer Green Flag Cashback, these jokers being too busy eating air to stay alive otherwise they'll get around to issuing Zer Cashback. Yes matey, you got it right, they are having cashflow adjustment issues. When the circulation of money, oka credit/debt, is "limited", everyone then is "limited" - other than whores, pimps, druggists, chemists, quacks, the politikos and their bumpals, the money merchants. It is another way of showing who is the boss and who are the stupidos-dumbos, the latter being those who are sold the Middling Truth and find it so digestive that they are always salivating for more - like eagerly awaiting to "elect" the next batch of angels who never lie, cheat, steal and so forth. No wonder the real/petty crooks are green with envy because the pros make it look so simple, easy and invincible to "Justice".

Just love that this pompous, boring and overly-complicated post, so obviously designed to make the reader think "wow, they're clever!", includes the word 'realtity'!!
