Got one 2 days ago in Sheffield, probably nationwide. Cooked it yesterday, I suggest not to cook it in the bag as it does not get very crispy, particularly on the back side where it sits in the tray. Voted hot!
£1.25 is quite small. is it just the crown?
It's a whole 🦆. I'm cooking one right now.
You have to cut open the bag in the last half an hour.
I had these before and usually more than 1.25kg. Not sure about the way it is weighted.
1.25kg? Surely that a duck"ling" ?
That's quite a small duck (would serve 2 people) and seems expensive to me? Asda Extra Special Duck is currently on offer at £6.50 for 2.1kg, which just about serves 4 people. Even at the normal price (£7.50) it's still cheaper per kg than this Waitrose offer.

I also don't think I'd cook a duck in a bag. Much nicer pricked with a fork all over and roasted on a rack to get a lot of the fat out. It will crisp up nicely and the fat can be used/stored for roast potatoes, etc.

Don't know how this is only 1.25kg. I put it next to a 1.3kg chicken and it looks twice the size. We ate it yesterday 2 adults + 2 children and still had enough left over for today for 2 adults.
