This went hot when it was £63 a few weeks ago so no doubt it will freeze now that it is cheaper (I will never fully understand the voting on this site). I think at this price it is the cheapest 4g 2gb x 16gb you can buy especially with a fingerprint scanner. I don't think a 4g 2gb x 16gb mobile phone has ever dropped below the £50 mark before. My boy has the A7 version and he is very happy with it and I have been pleasantly surprised by the fit and finish of it too.

Yep, My sons A7 set up like a dream. He has chopped and changed it since by adding Nova launcher etc so If a ten-year-old can sort it out I am sure you can.

The A7 has a smaller screen 1gb of ram and does have a detachable battery. It has no fingerprint scanner. You can get them for less money too (around £40). In my opinion, they make good kids phones or backup phones.

My A7 arrived within two weeks from Gearbest but my A6 which was ordered over two weeks ago from Aliexpress is still in transit. The average is three to four weeks.

wonder if this will be patched with the monthly security updates

The actual postage time from China is usually down to about 10 days. This depends on two factors though,

The export Customs people - they are even slower and less efficient than UK bureaucracy, and have several LOOOONG holiday periods. The Chinese New Year one sees them shut down for THREE weeks, and the 3 weeks before this are heavily impacted, as everyone tries to get their stuff out before the shutdown.

The seller delaying dispatch; I have had stuff waiting dispatch for as long as 6 weeks; whereas other sellers get it out the next working day. But be careful, some of the long delayers will post a fake tracking number to make you think it has been dispatched; then change it for the real number when they finally post the item.

That's in agreement with the OP's post #18. It's China, not Chingford. Still a good deal IMO.

Assuming it is like the A7 it will come with a USB lead which goes into a Euro plug. They also supplied a UK adapter though. To be honest we binned them and used a spare plug from a kindle.

is there any notification light on this phone

I'd be worried about bundled spyware services on these that anti malware programs can't pick up. Like on my Amazon fulfilled jiayu S3.

Most people wouldn't even know where to look.

The first thing you do when you buy a Chinese phone is download Malware bytes and run it. That will locate and eradicate any unwanted nasties. Having said that from what have read only a couple of brands have mucked about with nasties. My boys A7 had no issues.

Doesn't work. If the spyware is baked in then it can't get rid of it, and thats assuming it even picks it up. Like I said, it didn't pick up any of the rogue services on the jiayu s3.

Personally I wouldn't risk it but I know plenty of people on here happy to take a chance on these almost too good to be true chinese phones.

bought one of these and its rubbish, threw it against a wall after a few weeks, I wouldn't recommend.

Really? The company only released this phone a couple of months ago.It is so new hardly anyone has had a chance to even put up a decent youtube video of one at the moment but you somehow had one so long ago you had time to get fed up with it and bin it and that was weeks ago? Are you sure?

I concur ! People need lessons on this site on how to construct a proper sentence / paragraph , otherwise it's just a pile of s**te .🤔
