I have read recently (on HUKD) that Apple are moving to USB-C? Will that be coming on to the next iPhone or just the laptops?

It'll be coming on the new iPad's too, if I'm not mistaken?.

I believe last Year's iPad Pro 2018 edition (10.5" + 12.9") ALREADY have the USB-C incorporated into it already, etc ...
Great price .. couldn’t build for that cost

I hope not. USB C isn’t great IMHO.

USB c with power delivery and upto 100w charge is the best. Plus some USB c ports in laptops with Thunderbolt allow external display card and 4k hubs to be connected in addition to charging. Those with only display port alternate mode like mobile phones allow 4k monitors to be connected. Usb 4.0 standard is based on USB c and Thunderbolt.

I personally know 3 people that have had problems with USB C. The last one being my son who had his Nintendo Switch bricked using an official Nintendo Charger. USB C seems very good on power delivery but not robust at all in my experience.

It is as robust as apple lightning or micro USB but not as robust as usb A due to smaller size.

It’s only personal opinion, but 3 different USB C faults from 3 different manufacturers doesn’t seem robust to me, especially when it causes bricked hardware.
