This nice piece of kit enables the ipod nano's music to be played via an FM radio. This a high quality item compared to some of the dubious quality ipods 'radio transmitters' coming out of the Far East. The best bit is the price - via Amazon and only £10.92 compared to normally £20-£35 from most sites. Best price elsewhere via pricerunner.co.uk is £15.99.

Main Feaures:

Uses Ipod screen for display and ipod controls
ipod sits inside iTrip
iTrip draws its nominal power directly from iPod nano, requiring no batteries or adapters.
A built-in USB port allows iPod nano to charge or synchronize music.

Note - according to reviewers on Amazon, only works for the 2G & 4G nano, not the 8G, hence the three stars out of five stars Amazon rating.

I would suggest that it is a great Christmas buy around £10 for an ipod nano user. I have bought a couple.

I did say that it didn't fit the 8G and I take the review about it not fitting the new nano is refering to the 8G (whichis the latest nano out) as the nano design hasn't changed.

cheers,

I was under the impression that the newer nanos where slimmer.

BTW I was not trying to knock your post, just trying to add a bit more info but it looks like I've not helped much. :-(

I don't think the sandwich book works for free delivery now?

np, stora

If it turns out to be thinner, anyone can just send it back.

Make up your order to £14.94 to qualify for free delivery if the sandwich book doesn't work :santa:

sandwich loophole has expired I think :santa:

Ah, the good old "sandwich loophole", forever to go down in the annals of HUKD myth and legend... :-D

I used it yesterday... I think it gives free super saver delivery now actually instead of express. Could be wrong though, I didn't look at the numbers too closely but there was definitely a second negative amount applied.

You're right It works on items that are under the £14.94 SuperSaver qualifying amount. Anything under that can still be delivered free :santa:

i bought a couple of these about a week back when they were £12 - one for me and one for a present - they work really well, and if you plug a usb cable in, it makes it more powerful

The Second Generation nano dock connector and headphone jack positions have shifted, in addition to being slimmer (and slightly taller). If this were to function with the new nano, it certainly wouldn't fit flush with the device, it would be off to one side.

Just an FYI to clarify.

Anyone received their's yet?

Got mine today and tried it on a radio at home and it was easy to connect but couldn't get enough volume out as it has some volume limiting circuitry biult in. Haven't used it in car yet.

Seems to seriously deplete the battery though which leads me to ask has anyone any idea of where to find a car cable for this?

didn't think much of mine to be honest, can't get a good reception on any of the stations I've tried so far, my four quid ebay job has outperformed it thus far! And yes, the battery died very quickly. It may be heading back to Amazon!!
