Good price for a branded dual usb that. Grabbed one as mine has recently started to push out & stop charging & my wife keeps stealing the spare to use for her sat nav!

Not the cheapest
ebay.co.uk/itm…544?
£1.79 May not be genuine, I suppose
Actually there are loads cheaper. All apparently Griffin branded

Yeah saw that but wasn't sure it was the same as it states 5V / 1A per USB port, CAN NOT charge iPad or any tablet

Definitely not dual 2.1amp it's 1amp per socket 2.1 amps max between both.

Agree, no mention of Griffin in title or description, on brand it states generic too.
I'm not buying

I wouldn't plug anything into this, not worth the risk. I once had a cheap dual USB charger, which wasn't branded with a fake logo, and it killed a Sansa MP3 player and damaged a Nexus phone.

If you have a dab radio some of these charges mess with the radio signal.

Absolutely fake

+1 I have one of these, can't leave it charging for too long, stops charging and gets really hot.

It only has one job.

Had one, dies after a couple of months

Yeah bought 2, 1 doesn't work and the other causes horrendous radio interference. Must be fakes

Rubbish they stop your DAB radio working on some stations!

Doesn't seem like a great charger. The seller's feedback isn't great for this item. Can't be a real Griffin product.

Ask for boxed version and look for the logo color, genuine comes with a sealed box and has logo more "orange". Fakes comes in "OEM" bag and logo looks like red, low quality print.

Bought 4 of them in a "woooow deal" price, all of them were fake, worked 2-5 weeks, bought one on high street and one on eBay but the price was like around £10 - working for over a year.

I bought the one by one from Amazon with 7A combined three ports its brilliant its £7 but u only buy it once

Avoid avoid avoid!!

I bought a few of these and it actually caused an electrical fault on my dad's mondeo.

All dashboard lights stopped working.

Do not buy!

As people said above, definitely fake. Why risk damaging an expensive item or your car to save a couple of quid.

amazon.co.uk/Cha…ger

I wouldnt touch it
Get this one its £5.99, but worth the extra, really good brand and performs very well
Qualcomm charge on both ports (most dual port chargers have only 1 Quick port)

£ 0.99 from china

Had one of these before, didn't work, got jammed in the lighter socket and started to come apart when you pulled on it, AVOID.

Let me get this right

Are most people saying the item linked to this thread is a fake?...I just wanted to clarify.

Qualcomm charger sounds like a safer deal.

That says more about the vehicle than the charger really. Those 12V sockets are meant to be isolated and fused.

But still would not risk it.

At least you haven't wasted a fortune

The genuine ones of these are brilliant, which is why there are fakes I guess! I've had several of these for several years and they're still going strong (aside from running one over, and leaving another on my roof then driving off!)

As someone already mentioned, pay the tenner for a real one and don't risk your £100s of phone and £1000s of car. The only issue is actually finding a genuine one.

BTW report the living crap out of anyone selling fakes. Generic unbranded crap for sale is OK, you pay your money and you take your choice, but someone selling fake products should be off ebay.

Bought one for 60p from eBay (china) years ago, still works!

I would strongly avoid this product. We bought the exact some Griffin car charger. I was a passenger in my partners car and i was asleep going down the A303. I woke up from my partners voice to find it on fire. So we are now going 70mph down the A303 and my partner is panicking. This charger is hard to get out the socket, let alone when on fire. So i pull my jumper up and i am trying to grab the smoldering charger and somehow managed to extinguish the charger . It made an absolute mess of the facia in her car. So i would buy from a trustworthy company like Argos.
