prolly be as used less times than a George Forman grill!

What really is the point of these?

This would be a great present for someone with young babies/kids who visit family etc-something actually useful! We have one and paid about £24 for it and it has been very useful- not wide enough for our windows at home, but they are very wide >2m

Curtains!

You can use them in hotels while travelling or on holiday too. We used it at home after we moved in and while our baby was in our room and we don't have black outs up like in our other daughters room

Curtains don't go all the way into the window and aren't very good at keeping the light out- this sticks to the glass and works better- IMO
But better having actual blackout material cut to size etc, however not always possible when staying at family's houses etc

Have you heard of light? That stuff that is made from photons, well it has this interesting effect of affecting sleep via the hippocampus. Artificial light at night also causes problems >

A six month old, never needs it pitch black to sleep, or dark . Seems a waste of money to me.

Closing eyes seems to work a treat!

It's more for the summer to keep it dark as long as possible so they don't wake up. It can get light real early causing premature wake up. Leading to extra grumpy tired parents...

I have one has been useful to us and visiting family. Have also used it in our camper van to block out light. Bargain at this price.

Good price! Personally I have blackout curtains in my room (got them for the plasma TV to stop reflections initially) - make a huge difference to shift workers like myself though! Seems like a very good price for this kind of item, especially if you do need to stay away somewhere, otherwise you'd be better off with some permanent blinds or curtains.

Nobody could care less whether or not this deal is useful to you personally. The point of this site is to evaluate the value of a deal objectively, not to dismiss it subjectively. Maybe you didn't understand that when you signed up.

To stop the light escaping when growing drugs.

This would be good for our side window that lets so much light into our bedroom from those super bright new street lights.

Pointless waste of money. Don't see the point

And yes I have 2 kids..8 years old and 12 years old

Wow, some people here have issues.

Why bother coming here to rubbish a deal with just blatant rudeness when someone else has spent their own time sharing it with nothing but the intention to help others out?

If you don't have anything constructive to add just don't say anything.

My wife uses our George Foreman grill a couple of times a week no problem. Mind you, If you had said a Moulinex food processor, a Breville sandwich toaster or a SodaStream fizzy drink machine I couldn't really argue.

My 10 year old uses her soda stream every day. We never have to buy toothpaste now her teeth have fallen out. Win Win.

heat added, great product - my 2 and 4 year old's wake up as soon as its light so they have blackout blinds at home which work great. always have a problem when we're away though and have had to hang blankets over curtains in the past

I use one of these in my gamesroom when I am watching a movie on the projector.

Makes the room pitch black during the day, which is more than the blinds could ever do on their own...

excellent product... took ours to Florida when daughter was 8 months and within a day or 2 she was sleeping her normal 7-7. doubt very much she'd have been doing that with light streaming in her window!
...and this is a good deal (which is what I thought this site was about!), so HEAT added :-)

Great product, great price, we use one for our 2yr old. Heat added

PROBABLY, the word is PROBABLY!

Great product...use every day
really useful in summer when light mornings and nights

These are fantastic! We have small children and have used our blind loads of times...caravan trips, holidays, visiting family or friends...having a dark room makes a huge difference with little ones sleeping well...the last thing you want on holiday is over tired children if you can help it! Easy to put up, take down etc aswell

Great price. I have one and use it daily in the summer months as my daughter struggles to sleep if it's even slightly light. A life saver for holidays too. Heat.

Totally agree. Some people don't seem to understand that this is hotukdeals.com, not hot-deals-tailored-exactly-to-my-lifestyle-and-the-sleeping-patterns-of-my-offspring.com.

The OP posted a good deal at a good price. The fact that someone else might not need the item is no reason whatsoever for them to dismiss its relevance to other people.

Sounds great to me! Always have the neighbour's annoying security light coming on several times a night through the blinds!

Great price and product, only thing we find is the condensation behind these is immense. But still helps our little ones out.

good price and good product - have used it with our little girl everyday and it really helps her as she is a light sleeper. Very handy if away somewhere too.

We purchased some a few years ago and they came in very handy, especially when staying in friends spare rooms that didn't have curtains. The only minor issues we had was that the "suckers" didn't work so well and it took a few attempts to get them to stay on. This is a very good price.

it would be great for me as i work nights but would need two for my bedroom

Good price for this item, thanks for sharing

I'm looking for a blackout blind for a small room.
Obviously with normal blackout roller blinds, you still get light coming around the sides, no matter where you position it.

Are there any simple, affordable solutions for this.
I don't fancy putting up and taking this down every day really, and it looks very large for what we need.

I guess a roller blind in the recess and curtains on top would do it, but it all starts to add up!

Cheers

Bin Bags & tape - sorted.

Heat though, will order one as this is a great price. Our 2yo wakes up as soon as there is any sort of light, very tiresome!

People leaving negative comments really don't have a clue what these are for!

My daughter is too old for mid day naps now, but when she was younger it was difficult to get her to sleep unless it was very dark. When on holiday we used to end up with spare towels or duvets covering the window of her room. Something like this would have been invaluable then.

Thanks for posting, have some heat.
