I've been watching this for a little while now and this is the lowest price that I've seen it. Currently £14.99 at Boots, Mothercare & John Lewis.

*There’s so much to think about with a new baby and ensuring correct room temperature is maintained is an important part of safe and comfortable sleep. Health professionals recommend that the temperature of the baby’s sleeping environment should ideally be maintained between 16 to 20 degrees centigrade.

The Gro-egg is a unique colour-changing nursery thermometer that provides safety reassurance at a glance, reminding you to change the baby’s bedding, clothing or adjust the room temperature if required -making it a nursery essential for new parents. If parents are using the Grobag baby sleep bag, the Gro-egg is the perfect partner, helping to highlight which tog to use.

The Gro-egg also works as a gentle night light, offering enough light to check on your baby in a darkened room*

If the statistics say that not smoking, not drinking, not co-sleeping, ensuring your child wears the perfect outfit to bed for the temperature and various other factors reduces your newborn's chance of SIDS then sorry, I'm going along with it. Yes, the majority of babies will be fine without these things, but I'd happily get one for this little money.

Yes, yes, back in your day babies were given a bit of brandy to help them sleep and slept on straw while wearing sacks, but there's a thing called 'progress'. I'll take the £10 idiot-proof room thermometer please.

Good price, if the power lead didn't stick out so much from the back, I'd buy another for another room.

Haha....I love my Nutri Bullet. It has come into its own this summer. Making slushies for the children, iced coffees/teas and smoothies in the morning.

Very minor sore spot due to relatives who have recently had a baby who were shrugging off most of the modern recommendations for baby products/equipment etc. Needless to say they were panicking on the phone when their 2 day old was in a hot London bedroom and they didn't know what to dress them in.

Just feel there's no such thing as under-preparing or being under-equipped for babies! (Well, certainly your first!)

I wish I could answer but this is the first time purchasing this product and I only bought it today. Hopefully someone else can answer your question.

Doesn’t make a huge difference to be honest. Depends how close to the bed you have it-our girls is on the opposite side of the room so prevented me walking into the drawers at 2am, but when it was near her head it gave off enough light to comfort her.

I was always in the ‘don’t see the point’ brigade when my missis suggested one, but we have hem in both girls rooms now. Yeah, we know when it’s hot, we know when it’s cold, but babies especially can’t regulate their own body temperature, so it’s really handy to know what the actual temp is because as adults, you tend not to be as sensitive. I can honestly say that after getting one about 9 months after having our first, we managed to get some better nights sleep out of her because we had a better handle on the room temp. People can be as dismissive as they want, but genuinely, that was our experience. And as we all know, with babies and toddlers, a tenner is a small price to pay for a better nights sleep!
Thank you OP!

What have you compared it to? Have you tried multiple thermometers?

I've checked with a two thermometers plus a thermostat and it's pretty accurate. You may have a broken unit.
Great little things, used for both our kids. Yes, simply a glorified thermometer but a foolproof visual aid to room temperature. The soft night light also an added bonus. Heat added.

Mine has been correct when compared
I am a calibration technician getting mine on Friday and can do a quick comparison to a already calibrated thermometer
