Invaluable item for anyone with a baby or child! Great to know what the temperature is in your baby's room, but also acts as a subtle night light for when you want to check your child at night. One of the best presents we had when our son was born 2+ years ago & still doing sterling service! Highly recommended & good price above! Heat added

Great Price, thanks for posting, i will be popping to tesco a bit later on

Good price, we bought one with our first but we stopped using it as it was inaccurate, permanently on red unhappy face, even in winter when it was freezing.

I got mine on Amazon a few months ago at £13 - in fact, we have 2 - one an Nannys house - really good to use as a guide - hot from me!

Bought 1 of these 5 + years ago for around £20. Seemed to do the job well. Easier than any other room thermometer I have came across. Seemed quite accurate

Love these but her indoors says we've to put it on the list of presents. Lol. If someone doesn't buy it and I need to pay full price.... Lol

As everyone else super price and very handy with a newborn and in this unpredictable English weather!!

Got one from mothercare for £18 in the sale so this is a steal

As a poster above said i found ours to be useless. At least four or five degrees out sometimes.

And how did you know this? Maybe you should test the thermometer you tested the thermometer with? And then test the testing thermometer that tested the thermometer.

Great item, also check out the covers you can buy for it. We purchased an owl which looks splendid.

I remember paying 6.99 for this a while ago - from Amazon. In my opinion, it's a pretty useless (and inaccurate) item targeting first-time parents who are overly (if understandably) paranoid about their children. It went on Gumtree not long ago after sitting in the loft for over two years.

Before you leap in with your retaliations, I count myself as belonging to that overly-paranoid group (first time around). But it's a stupid item. Even if the temperature reading was accurate (which it's not), how does this gadget know how many layers your baby is wearing? So how can it know whether your baby is too hot or not? Right - it can't. Just use your common sense and human senses. It's not rocket science. Spend your thirteen quid on something worthwhile!

Note that I'm not a Gro-hater. I have their blackout blind and the clock, and rate them both highly.

Completely agree with this statement these units are completely inaccurate an my wife turned it off after 1 week and we are using the baby monitor. Had 2-3 degrees difference with this unit.
Its not even functional as a night light so a complete waste of money IMHO.

Bargain is only a bargain if the product is worth its salt, otherwise its just junk!!!!

Blooming love this! So much so I am not looking forward to giving mine over to the baby when it gets here. I'm hoping Reading has one in either store!

Agreed. Utterly useless item. I bought one as a first time paranoid mother. . Used for a week before giving up trying to make it happy. Been in the drawer ever since.

LOLZ. Good point. Ha ha:-)

if i remember rightly i paid £9 for this at the end of the asda baby event a few months ago. theyve got another one on at the minute but youll have to wait til it ends to get the discounts. havent used it yet but at this price its still a good deal. heat

We used this from day one and it fantastic. We have one upstairs and one downstairs and we took it on holiday to Newquay with us.

To the poster above - it obviously doesn't know what your baby is wearing it tells you in the book the faces go off if your baby is Wearing a vest, sleep suit and a blanket so with all 3 layers its a sad face if its too hot... Its so simple and a brill item.

I like it, find it useful and accurate so thank you for posting this. X
