This shower hose from the Silverflex series is ideal for connecting to your hand shower in bath or shower. Extremely user-friendly, it comes with a rotation cone that enables Twistfree function, the shower hose turns along with every move you make and never gets twisted.

Just picked up a 2m one in Lidl for £3.99 (£30.20 here). You really don't need to pay this much unless you're a brand junkie!

These are £5 in Asds George
Good quality - certainly worth the money

Smooth finish?

That Grohe stuff is pretty special in terms of quality tho. Purely from checking out hotel rooms - if it's broken, it tends to be not Grohe..

Yes. The same type as this, ie a silver coloured smooth plastic hose.

Thanks for letting us know. Are you going to explain further or are you just a smug troll?

Not really. Have tried various cheaper brands of shower hose and invariably, they leak after a few months. Have had a shower set from Grohe with one of these hoses and no leaks three years in. Further, it doesn't twist as it rotates freely at the cuff and the surface is completely smooth so cleaning is a doodle. God knows how the Germans do it, but they certainly got it right with this one.

I have three 'cheap' Bathstore ones which have been in daily use for seven years now and no problems. I don't doubt the Grohe ones are good (so they should be at that price!) but it's wrong to assume others won't be. The Lidl one looks good and at £3.99 I'll be more than happy to give it a go if/when one of the others fails.

I have a Grohe shower head bought a couple of years ago via a post on here. It's OK but nothing special: it seems to attract staining around the nozzles more than others which is difficult to impossible to remove.

I have one of these. They are not the same as the ones you can buy for £4. Quality in Lidl types far inferior from my experience. Therefore, couldn’t disagree more

If the nozzles are rubber, any buildup just rubs off with a thumb wipe. We have two fixed Grohe shower heads and they've been much easier to clean than the Bristan ones we had before.

Yeah, you'd think so wouldn't you, but two of the nozzles have resisted every attempt to clean them - even with mould remover and other bleaching products. Fine when they just start to get that oinkish hue but I once let a couple of them get to the stage of black mould and there's no way back! Still works well but I really don't think they're anything special at the price.

Sounds like you got a duff one - register a warranty claim!

Don't be daft - it's stained after several years of use. Where's the legitimate claim there?
These compatible with power showers? I.e. Bigger bore?

If it's within the 5yr warranty, it's fallen short of the manufacturer's expectations.

If it's older than 5 years, I agree that you've had sufficient service out of it.

No, it's fallen short of MY expectations - that's the whole point!
