Amazing ..more than my whole kitchen costs. A lady in the bank said £169 is all the money she has until payday .but deal is good if cheapest on market .
We thought hard about getting one of these sorts of taps but if you want filtered hot water and filtered cold water the high end models that have both get quite expensive. In the end, we went for a water cooler (plumbed-in) type. Dead easy to plumb in, cost under £300 and provides filtered hot water (90 degrees) and filtered chilled water (5 degrees). Can highly recommend one. Even got rid of our kettle. Brand we went for is Winix but there are lots on the market. Still a good price for this tap if you want one. You will need a nearby electrical socket of course and spare under-sink cupboard space.

I've got an insinkerator, cost nowhere near this kind of money. Both got and cold are filtered (assuming you don't need chilled).

Snap. Had a boiler break and flooded the cupboard but was replaced under warranty
Doesn't do 100C boiling water. Only Quooker really do boiling water taps.

Very few things actually need boiling water - coffee gets burnt, and tea brews just as well at a few degrees less. For saving a few hundred quid (or in the case of a Quooker, nearer a grand), I'll live.

Anyway, this thread is about a hot tap

tea really doesn't brew properly at lower temperatures (black tea, that is)

If you care about that, then avoid this product, is what i am saying

these things basically keep a tank of hot water heated all the time, any idea what it costs to run it ? Am interested because im sick of spending money on filters and also descaling kettles.. but I heard they are expensive as it's a large volume of water kept hot constantly to give you instant hot water..

The main point was that we need chilled. No more filter jugs in the fridge. Insinkerator is no less than a freestanding unit.
Don't even know what is that... I will vote hot!

Winix WCD 5D, bought it from Cater-Kwik. They delivered it to a local business down the road as they don’t deliver to residential addresses. Wasn’t a problem for us as they let us know.

Only T bags should have 100 degrees, leaf tea should be approx 85. So OK for proper tea.
