Specification say: Standby power consumption:15 W
I find it revolting, if it really consumes 15W 24x7 all the time.
131 kWh wasted every year just for the privilege of having it installed.
I can afford it, but I hate waste...

A specialist electric kettle really.
Rich boys toys although you will be hard pushed to find a tradesman willing to fit it next week
We have this- it’s god tbf, check if you get 3 or 5 yr warranty- btw paid a lot more than this so voted red hot.
Very bad reviews for QA supplies
Really tempted to buy this but only want to get it if i can install it or have it installed. The latter options seems very unlikely around my area even if there was no virus or lockdown. Voted hot though

Is the 4 litre one just a mono tap rather than a mixer tap? E.g. just dispenses hot water.

Seems like it
I have this one...

The tank isn’t as large, but it heats fast and I’ve never ran out of boiling water.

They are expensive, but for really quick cups of teas/coffee and filling pans it’s great. Can’t imagine life without one now, they just make sense. If you can afford one and you have space under your sink and a power socket near by, I highly recommend.

£20 a year, or about 6p per day. Not exactly going to break the bank is it.

2.2w on standby, I’m also on a green energy plan, not that I’m making excuses. It is a luxury item and I must admit I didn’t even look at the consumption figures before buying
have one of these and the spring on the instant hot water tap goes at least every month. absolute pain
Have one in the house we moved into recently, complete and utter waste of time as the water is not hot enough to make a decent cup of tea or coffee! Don't waste your money folks.

Sounds like a rubbish unit to me.. It’s definitely meant to be boiling otherwise no point
Get a Qettle that has filtered cold water as well as boiling water for the same price. Costs about 3p a day to run. Been really happy with ours for the past 15 months.

I installed the Franke version of this yesterday (just the same), easy to install and very happy with it so far. Instant brews for not much money.
Is it just me, to think these are potentially dangerous, an accident waiting to happen?

Well it goes without saying that you dont wash your hands for 20seconds under this hot tap....

But anyway there are many forms of heaters that are going to produce dangerously hot water, it's up to the user to make they are installed appropriately

How long does this take to get up to boiling water from the point that it is first connected to the electrical supply? If it had been switched off for a week would it be ready in 5minutes?
I wish I had ordered this, seems to me that it was a mis-price as it is now £1552
