Have one, its great!
damn sight easier to clean...
Have this too, great for keeping clean, but doesn't hang/have same flexibility as chrome ones.

March??
Seems to be normal price on Amazon.
Is the brand worth it versus the identical product at £7 or less unbranded?

Deffo not, have the unbranded for 6 years. Still looks new.

*this may or may not be true but I have unbranded ones and they are fine imo.
Aren't these more stiff then the normal chrome ones ? Or do they become more flexible with use ? Bought but now just sitting in a box

No.
Got same from Lidl a short while ago. Think it was £3.99.

You're paying a lot for the brand name and Grohe aren't anything special anyway.

You're probably right in this case, but if you need a tap, worth investing in Grohe. I've done my bathrooms and kitchens 5 years ago and I was under the impression I've used relatively decent taps. All of them need replacing now, so I am trying to go with Grohe now. But not for a shower hose.
Don’t buy this, because I had one fitted in my new bathroom with a trigger spray. The hose just popped and there was a water fountain in my bathroom. Had to rework kitchen ceiling.

Grohe said I was to blame because I should have only used this pipe with a isolating tap. I have chrome one now and know others who have chrome ones with no isolation tap. Never buying Grohe again. Thought I’m buying a trusting brand, but quite the opposite.
These are better than the metal alternative and the unbranded ones are fine. The so-called chrome however doesn’t look good. The white version with a cross hatch pattern looks much better in my opinion.
Scrolling down and read it as gag reflex
