NB: changed deal to 1.75m version as 1.5m has gone up to £12.99

(Free delivery for orders over £20 or for PRIME members).

I grabbbed one of these a year ago after getting fed up with the metal hoses getting filthy over time and being a PITA to clean.

Had them on watch on 3 camels so I could grab some for the other bathrooms and this is first time they’ve dropped below £10.

Grabbed a couple more myself so only needed small filler item for free delivery. Bepathen 100g is down to £3.90 for anyone that has kids.

NB: 1.75m is £10.67, credit to Berisford.

Had my longer version for 5 years and still going strong, well worth the money. Not of the problems you get with the cheap coiled metal efforts, even the ones with a rubber outer coating as they eventually split as well.
good stuff... have mine for almost 3 years and still perfect.
Thanks, might go for the £85 installation
Thanks Mentos, been intending to get a new shower hose.....1 x 1.5m & 1 x 1.75m comes to £20.01....perfect.

I liked the weight of the metal hoses, meant they sit slightly better. But absolutely fed up of them looking like shit before long and then splitting These are no brainier IMO

Thanks for pointing that out, added a footnote with 1.75m price
Aw man - bought a coiled one not one week ago. Should have waited! Heat from me anyway.
Ordered one of these before Christmas. Had to return it as it wouldn't fit my Triton shower without leaking... tried PTFE tape etc etc. Replaced it with a genuine Triton hose which fitted perfectly. Fortunately Amazon refunded me.

Thats unfortunate I’ve used it with non grohe handheld, just needed to add one of the included spacers. But guess there are always slight variances

I would measure your current hose. Whilst these are much better then the mettle coiled hoses, they don’t hang in as narrow a loop due to less weight. So in our case the 1.5m sits better in the space for the handheld shower.

But was good spot by Berisford, as if you need the length 1.75m is a good price.

Quite agree. Have had one for longer than I can remember, and it still looks like new. Recommended by our shower installer. In fact, it's outlasted the (non-Grohe) showerhead!
anyone recommend a good value compatible shower head to go with the hose?
Can someone recommend a good showerhead to go with this lovely hose.
Wonder if this will do for mine...

I bought this one last year with the first hose:

amazon.co.uk/GRO…LYO

It matched the original non branded chrome plated copper shower head that had been bundled with the mixer. So far holding up well and the nozzles are definitely better quality (better spray and resist getting clogged with hard water). I think I prefer the weight of the copper one, but this one looks better finished and you would only know it’s ABS once you pick it up. Also Mrs says it’s easier to clean, probably due to better chrome plating. Cheapest it’s been, but have it on watch for a bargain so I can snap up two more and make the bathrooms match again

In our case we have fixed overhead showers aswell, so this is just used as an additional hand shower. May want something bigger if it’s going to be main/only shower head
Have 3x similar from Bathstore and they look good after 7 years. Got replacements from Lidl last year for around £3! As well as being better these things must be cheaper to make. You don't need to pay Grohe prices!

Looks like 1.5m gone up to £12.99, but 1.75m still £10.67
Had one of of these at the old house and it was excellent. Just ordered one for this house as the metal one is coming apart and a pain to clean. 1.75m still just over £10.

Edited deal to 1.75m version as that’s still available. And unexpired
Are these a standard size, would it fit my aqualisa shower?

1/2” connection, check the diameter of your current hose. Also they come with some fillers to build up the depth if needed.

The one I bought was a straight replacement for existing 1/2” hose. But one previous poster mentioned they had an issue with their shower head, so unfortunately it’s not guaranteed

Bought one, thanks
Thanks. Got one as a spare for the Au Pair's bathroom.

I’m disappointed with myself that I haven’t come up with a suitable inuendo laced pun

Had an identical issue the other day with a different brand of hose and I had tried PTFE tape and every other method to sort my Aqualisa shower - shower head was fine, but leaked from the shower unit. The only way I eventually stopped it was to add two O Ring seal washers, of different sizes (luckily the other washer came from the shower hose I was taking off), and that stopped it from leaking.

Really had thought it was time to return it like you did until I did this and it was the last trick in my book that solved the issue - luckily it got it sorted.
2 of 1.75m ordered - heat added, thanks OP

If you need a 1.5m one this seems a good option now they have increased price on Grohe 1.5m one?

Glad you got it sorted... I did try two washers on it (among various other things), nothing was working unfortunately.

I don't think this is much different weight wise, it also sits well but I can't remember how long it took to settle as it was years ago

Youre right, once filled with water, after a few weeks it loses its coiled “memory” and starts to sit more like the metal hose.

In our case it’s used for the hand shower which sits between the wall and the main mixer unit. So I guess we have a couple of close points of reference. I’ve also compare to the other showers which still have a metal hose. And can see the loop is a bit wider.

Still highly recommended over a metal hose. But I stuck to the length I needed, as I fear going longer it may spread a little wider and touch the wall or overlap the mixer controls

On a side note, surprised this deal got so hot. Was sure I’d need to use this for a hot shower to warm up from a freezing deal. Now I’ll need to have a cold shower

Ha, it isn't the 1st time this has been up I think the 2 meter one I have has had a couple of deals up but way back as mines 5 years old. It's one of those things where people read it and jump on the chance of not having a hose that's going to get black bacterial crap hiding in it within a few months and eventually fall to bits. I do like the swivel connector as well. I find where mine connects to the water feed it you fasten it so it sits against the wall it helps keep it out the way so mine sits nice and flat to the wall, opposite to you but ours heads to the riser rail so it's nice to not keep catching it
