The Groupon now tv deal is back, good if you have missed out on any of the others and have picked up one of the nice little now tv boxes

•Six months unlimited access to hundreds of on-demand movies
•One 24-hour Sky Sports day pass

came with 5 sports passes before for the same price

The previous deal was better with 5 sports passes, this one only has one, however if you missed the earlier deal this is the best one i can see.

Access to the sky movie channels for xmas is worth the £14.99 especially if you have kids.

Are the on demand movies for Now TV the same as on Sky Go? So, if I have a sky movies subscription do I get additional services?

A good deal, I got it with one of the previous deals and even with the £10 box its less then £4.50 a month for some great movies.

Opps forgot to mention don't forget tcb

This is for anyone who doesn't have Sky or Sky Movies, through their On Deman service, they can all the same movies you have access to with a Sky Movie Subscription.

With your Sky Movie sub, you have access to the same stuff via your Skybox as long as you've got it connected to the internet via cable / wireless. Go under On Demand and viola, movie and boxset galore.

If you got 24 hours to use as hourly slots then it would be worth it but sky sports is just too expensive.

Its new customers only.
There was a glitch with the payment site which caused it to crash out midway through so it created the account but never added any payment details or the groupon.
After speaking with support I had to create another account as it wouldn't all the groupon code to apply without it was added at the time of creation.

Ok i have a normal Sky Entertainment Plus sub...no movies...so this NOW TV allows me to watch all the normal SKY movies channels through ON Demand only? Not by going to the channel and watching live? Sorry just not 100% clear in my head but i know this is a great deal so have voted hot anyway...

Doesn't this effectively tie you up to a longer subscription than just the 6 months?

Auto-renew should not be turned off during the offer period as this will … Auto-renew should not be turned off during the offer period as this will remove the discount from your account; if it is turned off you will be charged £8.99 a month for the remainder of the offer period. At end of the initial 6 month subscription, Sky Movies Pass will renew at an introductory price of £8.99 per month for 3 months, then £15 a month;

Also....can we use the trial first and then use this code? Or straight into new account when using this code?

How many devices can the sub be used on?
e.g. can the same sub be used on Now TV box, xbox and iPAD or will it be seperate subs for each?

Keep getting message 'wrong credit card format'! wtf oO

I think you can watch live, and any movies that are being played live are available via on demand anyway

You can use one account on four different devices, but only watch on 2 devices at the same time

Don't quote me on this but there system can't cope with a subscription being pre-paid for longer then a month so it auto renews the free months.
At least that's what it looks like is happening if I go into the payment/account status section of my NowTV account.
Cancelling the subscription would stop it auto renewing even though there is no payment happening.

Right now i am confused....how do i watch this on my tv then ? I just signed up ( had to use another email as it seems i was already a member which i don't remember doing) so when i get home how can i watch SKY movies on my tv ?

Wasted most of the morning trying to get this to work and still getting error message. Good luck with you all getting your codes for this...grr!

You will need to buy a Now TV Box (£9.99), or if you have a PS3 / Xbox you can log in using those. I think if you have a smart tv some are available with the Now TV app.

Right I had signed up to the 30 day trial and was planning to apply one of the £4 a month codes.......however this is a better deal. As with other couldnt get to the activation page using my desktop but was able to do so through my mobile device (I ponder whether this was because it's remembered my existing account).

I couldn't apply this to my current account (says I have a voucher applied already). I've created a new account, applied the voucher and then a little pop up came up to say "It looks like you've previously enjoyed a 30day free trial, If you don't feel this is correct click HELP or click continue" As it didn't say I COULDNT use the code I've clicked continue. At the moment when I manage my payments on this account it shows 30 day free trial and £0 for subscription amount ( I can't remember on my previous one whether it said £8.99 or not) so I'm not absolutely sure it's accepted the Groupon or not....I guess I'll have to wait and see although it would be interesting to hear from anyone else who has done this.

Ahh cheers....i get it now..oh well good for my ipad and work PC...on quiet days

If you want to watch on an Xbox you'll need an Xbox Live GOLD subscription. They don't make it easy to use their service.

I paid £15 for this last month via total film, when you sign up you get an email that states:

"Due to your offer, for the next 6 Months your monthly payment will be £2.50 and the first payment is on the Order Date shown below. Your ongoing payment after the offer period has ended will be £15 a month. You can stop your Sky Movies Pass from renewing at any time."

Hope that clears that up for you

I've used NOWTV before and it was fine on the 360 (but that sounds like a plane taking off) the PS3 is OK but the interface is still a beta so can play up occasionally. It will NOT work on Apple devices that are jailbroken (my mate says). Anyone know if use a different credit card/logon/email you can use this as a new customer? Surely it doesn't record IP addresses?

At £2.50 per month it's worth it.

You can't use an email address you have already used to sign up and if you have app trouble you can delete and re-install the app

I use it on the 360 (if it gets noisy make sure you take any DVD's out 1st), the Roku (works great), The PC (via Internet Explorer only unfortunately), iPhone (not jail-broken) and via a NOW TV Box (sometimes images don't load)... To be honest I actually prefer Netflix and am only using it because of the offer.

Pretty sure it's only locked down to the email address.

We currently have a skybox in the living room but no subscriptions, merely using it as a freeview box.
If i was to sign up for now TV, c\n i watch it through the sky box?

Nice find. Voted hot. Cant go wrong for that price.

Quick update having setup a NEW account despite the warning I alluded to (probably because address and payment details the same) I've now received a confirmation email that I've got the 6 months at the Groupon deal. So for anyone in the trial and/or who have used a different discount code e.g. the £4 a month one, you can probably safely go for the latest Groupon, cancel your existing account, create a new one and use the Groupon code to get it at £2.50 a month (plus the 1 day sports pass).

5.25% Topcashback or 4% Quidco.

I used the free months trial via PS3 to get the free 90 day PS+ sub last month, does that mean I cant use this offer?

No, you would have to watch it through the Now TV box which is only small; it only requires a HDMI cable to connect to the TV and a power cable - both are provided along with the box!

Alternatively, you can watch all the movies on your PC/laptop and even connect it to the TV that way.

Simple answer "no", the Now TV streams over the net and not the air

I had to use a DIFFERENT email address (and create a new account name) but was obviously able to use same personal detail and payment info. As I said in my original email it did throw up a pop up box to indicate that they thought I'd had already had the free offer BUT I just clicked continue and it seems to have worked.
