Anyone stayed here before ?is there much to do and around the surrounding …Anyone stayed here before ?is there much to do and around the surrounding areas etc Thanks

I've stayed here 3 times in 15 years, the most recent visit was last July.
It's an excellent caravan only site (no camping) we take our touring caravan, Riverside has a nice pub (expensive) with a children's play area underneath (the pubs on high stilts because of yearly river flooding). There's a river boat taxi service from the site that takes you right into the town centre and passes some gorgeous riverside houses, the town itself is a tourist hotspot because off Shakespeare.

As for the glamping pods they are basically a glorified shed but I suppose better than sleeping under canvas if the weathers rainy.
Also where they are positioned on the site is nice and there's plenty of outdoor space for the kids to play.

Not stayed no but live nearby- lots to do in Startford upon Avon itself (rammed with visitors especially during warm weather). Also surrounding areas in Cotswolds (Broadway/ Chipping Camden / Bourton on Water) and the Lavender fielda in Snowshill are all worth a visit and no more than 30 minutes away
Booked for October half term, only an hour away from us.
Bargain! Want to try this glamping out. Away from the TVs and life’s other distractions !!

The river is very nice here as well, it's where I like to go paddle boarding. There's a company called sup Stratford that do lessons just down the river, they'd probably meet you up at the pub if you asked nicely and wanted a go.

Stratford-upon-Avon itself is a lovely historic place. Plenty of restaurants, theatres, exhibits. There's a butterfly museum, Shakespeare's birth place, the river itself. I really like the Greek restaurant there, el Greco or something.

A short drive away you also have Warwick, with Warwick castle.

About 20 - 30 mins and there's Coventry with the Midlands air museum (has a Vulcan bomber), some simulators, the motor museum and cathedral are also worth a look in the centre. Also a good bouldering centre there.

South you've got the Cotswolds to explore, plenty of great hikes.

Stayed here last year. They’ve got a really good club house area with a couple of bars, decent food at reasonable prices. They also have entertainment of an evening in the peak months. Can get a river taxi from the park to Stratford for about £3 per person. Takes 10-15 mins down the river. Or the walk is about 20-25 mins.

As already said, loads to do in Stratford, plenty of pubs, shops, cinema, boat ride down the river.

Recommend mate
Once I say to the Mrs it’s shared showers , it’s a huge NO !

I love Stratford upon Avon I stopped at the falcon for a few nights nice place but I can honestly say it's on one of the most noisiest streets I've ever been on particularly early mornings .

Stratford-upon-Avon has quite a few things, including:

- Butterfly World
- Shakespeare's Birthplace
- Shakespeare's Grave
- Shakespeare's Theatre
- Anne Hathaway's Cottage
- Various markets

Stratford isn't too far from Warwick/ Leamington-Spa/Cotswolds either, if Stratford-upon-Avon is not exciting enough

Info r.e. Markets:

Info r.e. Butterfly World:

Note: I live just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, and it's always great fun popping into town over the weekends and doing touristy things and meandering around

National Trust Charlecote Park is a quick 3.5 mile drive down the road on the same side of the river, a nice day out when the weather is good.
