Unknown name for Dryers but Heat Pump technology, what sold it for me was 5 years Guarantee included, next 5 years they fix it!

The GTN38250MGCB 8 kg Heat Pump Tumble Dryer includes sensor drying programs to save you time and money by detecting the amount of moisture in the drum and automatically stopping the cycle once the pre-selected dryness level is reached.

What offer is LKA10A please?
I called Curry's they could not apply the discount code so I cancelled my order.

Raised new order with code LKA10A, 10% off - now £404.10

Many thanks Devinn for your code update
I used above code and also gift card (further 8 percent off). I used topcashback also and do wonder if I'll receive anything.
This scores quite well on Which testing 65%:
Pros = accurate drying, effective condenser, easy to use, even drying, low energy use
Cons = slow when drying a half load of cottons

However, they state typical price is £350, although do not offer a direct link for any retailers like they do for some others, so I wonder if this is all that of a deal?
Ordered and told it would be delivered today. It hasn't and I've heard nothing from currys. Not a good start.
On the phone for over 40 minutes still no one. Do not order from here.
The same model but in white is available (also at Currys) for £399 less the 10% discount using the code above so ~£360. Ordered that for delivery Monday 10 December. Thanks OP

Ah yes I see - they're not exactly identical.

What are the differences that make it 'lower spec'? (Genuine question - not being funny)

EDIT to add - on the Grundig site, the 'HGC' model is listed as 'discontinued' but the specs list is identical to the 'MGC' model.

So perhaps 'old model' (which I'm fine with, FWIW) is more accurate than 'lowe spec'?

On the Curry's site I did a compare Products, there were differences... I guess the main componants were the same but the dispaly and buttons are different ie LED display on the newer one.

Is the one you got the GTN38250HGCW? Would you recommend it?

Yes that's the one.

We've only had it a few days (delivered Monday) so it's early to say but so far so good. It's quieter than the machine it replaced, takes about the same time, and clothes come out completely dry. UI is easy to use. I'm not 100% sold on the look of it (very shiny door surround) and it's deeper than our old one (so doesn't fit under our unit as well - be sure to measure before buying).
Grundig(currys only) are beefed up BEKO with 5y warranty.

When I researched the spec/price/value point made these a very good choice.

Been great and has worked in a garage for a couple of winters now.

The HGC has better condenser efficiency(91% v 85%) and lower power(230 v 235) use than the MGC.

£400+- is the going rate for these

The newer hybrid ones are probably better but a lot more so value is not there yet.
Thanks guys. I'm not really aware what the better brands are and was just wondering if at this price point (~£400 for an 8kg heat pump td) this is something to go for.
