3 usb?! Mr Grundig, surely you are spoiling us!

Can the device support a usb ntfs hard drive?

It works brilliantly with my 500gb external drive and various usb sticks

from a review on the webpage, as far as i'm aware ntfs is the standard on external drives? so i'd say it's more than likely.

Single tuner only!

I was hoping for a tuner for each usb and maybe Tivo software! Its very good value and ideal for a bedroom etc but for my main room I need to record 2 programs too often. Might get one for mum and dad though as they still struggle with the VCR!

Another simple way is to record one on it and have a arial splitter going to the inbuilt tv tuner.Which most tvs have now days if not all the newer ones. Then it becomes almost a twin tuner.

Or just go out and pay £70+ for a twin tuner if you need one so bad

also available from Tesco Outlet as a refurb with 12 month warranty for £24.97

So you record the same program to three different USB drives? That seems odd...

It's that unreliable you've got a 1 in 3 chance of getting a full recording.

Just kidding, hot deal.

good deal, i'm waiting for the HD ones though that'll be around this price. Picked myself a Philips normal freeview box from richer sounds for 4.99

I've got a cheap £10 Argos one for the kitchen too. Its the best little freeview box I've had and believe me I've had plenty! It doesn't even need rescanned when new channels are added it just does it auto and it has the EPG in list view rather than that silly grid that I hate. Cheapest can be best in this case.

What video format do these record to and what resolution?

Mpeg?

Nah, 1080p AVC

It's an SD recorder so it'll be MPEG 2 mate.

This is the same crappy kind of thing loads of £120 tellys come built in with nowadays. Definitely worth spending another 20 and getting a Twin Tuner (so you can watch one thing and record another/record 2 separate things).

Anyone seen any good twin tuner deals?

If you want to refer to an ebay item, just put the item number. In this case it'd be 290540918492.

The one you've posted is refurbished, so although it is cheaper, most people prefer new.
