it is specific for the z170. What funny result, at worse, can have on an x99 with the 6850k??

What's going on with this price. !!!

Same here - I suspect it'll be absolutely fine to be honest.

Anyone know if this will work on a gigabyte b150? The board can take up to 64gb

So cheap bought it thanks : D

Doesn't matter how much RAM your board can take - important is how much RAM your CPU can use.

it was not long time ago on a different set, the g-skill customer service said they do not work but failed to explain the details. Anyway, I found out that it is about timings and that can easily be adjusted in case of any funny results and at a lower frequency they should be more than compatible just in case.

not there anymore, £439 now from different seller. I hope we get it. Thanks OP

It's a 6700k. Planing on upgrading at some point to z170 but just wondering if it would work with the b150 until then?

What is it with gskill and their ram prices

That makes sense. I doubt I'll be using them past 2400Mhz (with a 6800K/X99, quad channel which has plenty of bandwidth anyway), so with manually tweaked timings they'd be absolutely fine. I hope either this one or the 3200Mhz set actually turn up, that'd be amazing..
