The people complaining in this comment section about the use of RGB lights here need to understand that they're not the target audience for this.

You're completely right that you can get ram without lights, with faster speeds for similar and lower prices. But there are plenty of people that use PC building as a hobby and a way to express themselves.

They're not trying to show off in most cases, and just like to make something that's pleasing to their own eyes. You wouldn't critisize some one who builds model planes, because "they're wasting money because no one else is going to see it". They're doing it for their own satisfaction.

So get of your high horses, with those self congratulating, smug posts, and accept that people like different things. There's nuances to every hobby.

Some want to build the cheapest, fastest pc they can. While others want to build something that in their eyes is aesthetically pleasing.

Both are fine.

I'm tired of the same comments, with the same people acting with some self delusion of superiority.

@andreas2 The link takes you to Case King. One needs to go to the Other sellers tab for the €114.90 price to which about €4.20 would be added for shipping.

Sorry which link?

I've included Amazon's shipping cost in the price and converted it to pounds.
Sorry but seems dear for only 16GB, wasn't so long ago this money would have bought 32GB, not in such fancy colours maybe but who cares once it's in the case?

I guess people who have windowed or open cases.
One who enjoys RGB on any level might would prefer RGB over few percent performance drop.

Oh posers and show offs you mean?

Maybe I'm old and boring but never seen the appeal of RGB personally. For me a PC should be about giving you the best bang for the buck on the screen not through the case window but whatever floats yer boat I guess...

40646804-AY56d.jpgi need RGB ram now lol, RGB ram isn't that much more expensive and definitely worth it. Obviously raw performance comes first but it's always worth setting some cash aside for looks.. I recently got a full braided psu extension kit for £15..completely changes the look. The argb gamemax fans are actually great too.. Much better than my Corsair SP120s in terms of airflow.
I enjoy tinkering around with my pc more than I actually like using it lol.. And yes I still use a sound card

Posers and show offs, really, not that someone may just like the RGB effect, they have to be posers ? Do you carry your pc round with you or something? Most people's are in their house away from public view, posing with it may be a tad tricky.
Bad price for 3600 CL6 16GB, unless you value LEDs for some reason

Couldn't agree more. Been into computers since the '80s and just built a new pc using 32gigs of ram for £100 from amazon at just slightly under this speed. Back in the day you'd see the occasional custom kit but it was stuff like painting the case etc. Now people just buy lights. It's sad, really.

This is literally double what I paid for 32gigs of only very slightly slower ram a couple of months ago!

3600mhz ram is always more expensive and this is today's price. The market is constantly changing and ram is probably been affected the worst over the years. An extra £10 to £15 for rgb ram isn't a big ask considering I've spent £380 on the gpu and £300 on the cpu lol

It was:

Crucial Ballistix Sport LT BLS2K16G4D32AESE 3200 MHz, DDR4, DRAM, Desktop Gaming Memory Kit, 32 GB (16 GB x 2), CL16, Red

which cost me £106.49 in feb.

"I'm tired of the same comments"

People often say they're "tired" or - in extreme cases - "sick and tired" - of something and I always think "well, have a lie down then, maybe a lemsip or something". If reading makes you tired then perhaps get that looked into. It's just a comment on a website.

That's not a solution to the problem though.

Informing people of their totally pointless comments and educating them that other people actually have different interests to them may help solve the time wasting for everyone.

Hey you're the one accusing people of being "sad" for having different taste's because "back in my day people didn't need fancy lights".

Its like a broken record. I don't understand why people need to leave snide comments on threads like these. Does it make you feel superior about your own choices or what?

Its just comment on a website, but it obviously hit enough of a nerve with you, you felt the need to reply

It's gone now.

Previously the "Get deal" link took you to Amazon.de with the seller as Caseking GMBH @ €141 price. The Amazon deal price was in the "Other Sellers on Amazon"
