Thank Op great find,
Used topcashback and halfords cycle to work scheme through my employer (includes Tredz online)

So after paying though salary sacrifice final cost to me is £261 (+ £40 of free accessories through the scheme) Woohoo!
Why do they go into every intricate detail about every single millimetre of the bike then somehow 'miss out' the overall weight?

Can you recommend hybrids for £400?
£449.99 and no peddles ........... oh wait it has
Ok how about £449.99 and no engine! I can by a 15 year old rust bucket of a small car with no MOT for that

Good deal, great starter bike/winter bike 🏻

Looks very good value although I'm no fan of the paintjob it looks very bland maybe that is part of the reason for the discounting.

Don't forget topcashback or possibly quidco and if you sign up for the newsletter the £5 discount unless there is another discount code working. Maybe 'CLEAR5' would work.

Is the Giant AXT2 any good for £298? I’m after a yellow bike 😏

The dimensions are set in stone. The weight differs depending on size and how individual components weigh in as they are never identical. At a given price range and spec they are all pretty much of a muchness.

If your cycle to work scheme is via halfords you can just use your LOC online with Tredz, Cycle republic or halfords.
Once you add to basket, click through to checkout and you should see on the RHS of page at the bottom "redeem a cycle to work voucher"
Dont forget topcashback or quidco too

Done this twice over the last year

As Jonnystorm points out different kit sizes and wheels/tyres all make the readings different I’d guesstimate it weighs between 13.25-14.75kg

That's good information I didn't know it worked like that and presumably the option doesn't disappear for sale items? As sale items used to be excluded from some cycle2work schemes.

Not sure which deals wouldn’t be allowed but last time I bought a reduced mtb from cycle republic that was hot on here and sale went through with LOC, sweet

It's okay if you just want something basic. It has a Shimano drivetrain which is nice to see on a bike of that price. It's a proper bike, but not something you'd want to do serious mountain biking on

The free accessories offer depends on your specific cycle scheme

I can do any of them, which is the better deal you think? my site that manages it all is down atm.. probably doesn't expect people to be on it at 4am
All I can tell you is that we are in the Halfords scheme and we get free accessories with LOC (certain items only I think which are listed as you proceed)

So LOC of £450 for this deal gave me near to £50 of free accessories which makes this bike deal even better
weird I don't see anything about the accessories >.< I have the option to do Cycle2work and cycleplus..
Have you applied and received your LOC

I know this deal is old but could anyone recomended a bike up to £500 on Trendz as I ordered this and they took my C2W voucher and then told me it was discontinued , so now I have no choice but to get something else from them

I Just went through their website for you and unfortunately for the same spec you're looking at £650. tredz.co.uk/.Giant-Talon-1-27-5-Mountain-Bike-2018-Hardtail-MTB_113695.htm

You'd hope they'd help you out with a decent amount of store credit towards it

Alternatively see if they'll give you the 2019 version tredz.co.uk/.GT…htm Its the same spec as the 2018 version (same bike with a different paint job)

Thanks . They weren't that helpfull really , and the most they offered was £20 off , I got the Orbea MX 40 29er in the end which has similar specs but without as good forks for the same price .
I would of gone elsewhere but they cashed my C2W voucher so I could only buy from them or cancel the voucher and start the applying process again (which my employer only does 2 times a year and I might of missed it ).All together I would avoid this company in future and probably leave a not so great review .

Ps they still haven't taken this bike off their website so beware anyone with a C2W voucher

That's pretty disgusting behaviour. They should not have processed the voucher unless they were sure they had stock as per the order. Definitely very disappointing customer service to say the least.

I agree . I won't be shopping with them again . Looking at reviews online, they used to be really good but recently there is a lot of negative . I will be sure to add one more .

Maybe an effect of the Halford's takeover. As much as I like Halford's bikes for great value when discounted especially, their customer service seems hit and miss to say the least going by accounts on the Internet. I've used Tredz for small orders recently. Maybe 2 or 3 orders this year. Each time I choose them because they had the best price and I made use of their £5 off £30 code often making orders of pretty much £30. I got the orders ok and well packed but they take about 3-4 days longer than their competitors to get to me. I pretty much shop by price only using companies with known poor customer service but still find your experience totally unacceptable because I know I would be frustrated to be locked in to their company like that.
